My family and I will be in Disney for Christmas this year. We watched a program on Food TV last December with Raven Symone as the hostess. It was all about Christmas at WDW. They showed a really nice sit down dinner, elegant appearing, round tables, with carolers singing during the buffet style dinner. We have tried to contact Food TV to get a copy of the show and they don't sell them. So my question is this: does anyone have any idea where this meal was? OR does anyone have a copy of the show they would be willing to sell me? Thanks!! :santa:

I thought that was a special event party that you're describing. Not open to the public. I haven't seen the show in a while though, so I could be wrong!

Thanks, I thought that might be the case. Any other great ideas for Christmas dinner? My husband wants to do something really special.

Many of the Disney restaurants offer special Christmas menus for that day. We've done Christmas dinner at several different places, and they're all nice in their own way. It really depends on what you're looking for!

This year we are planning Trails End for Christmas lunch and California Grill for dinner.

My husband is looking for something along the traditional Christmas dinner lines: ham, turkey, potatoes, that sort of thing. Does anyone have any suggestions of where we should eat?

I recommend Liberty Tree Tavern in the Magic Kingdom.
You can check out their menu here on the DIS.

We just spent Dec. 20-26 in WDW.
We ate at some great places:
Christmas Eve dinner: 1900 Park Fare
Christmas breakfast: 'Ohana
Christmas dinner: Chef Mickey's

My kids loved every meal & had such a wonderful time.

**On Dec. 23, we had dinner at WCC & immediately following dinner, went outside & took a holiday horse-drawn sleigh ride!! (I'd booked it in advance!)

We're eating at Liberty Tree Tavern this Xmas...closest thing to our own Christmas dinner! :thumbsup2

We always ate at the Whispering Canyon Cafe. They have the traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings just for Christmas day. It is great

We have never eaten at Whispering Canyon or Liberty Tree Tavern. Thanks for the advice! I can make my reservations in June and am chomping at the bit to do so:yay: !!
