How long do WDW Christmas decorations stay up AFTER Christmas??

Thanks - RuthnPaul

Usually till the first week into January.

However, if there are any Christmas decorations you are particularly interested in seeing, get over there FAST! I've made several trips the first week in January. One year I remember going to Epcot on 1/2 and seeing the display of the big Christmas tree on the walkway between FW and WS. Two days later I went back-all gone! It's amazing how quickly an entire display can come down-I thought that one was too big to take all down in one or two nights. But on the other hand, if you get there after the posted date for a display, look anyways. One year, I got there the day after the Osborne Lights posted ending date. First night, I went to DTD and got talking with some people who'd just come from MGM and were surprised that the Osborne Lights were still up. I was so mad at myself. Live and learn, I guess.

By the time Marathon weekend comes around, you won't see any Christmas in the parks, but you might still see some of the resorts decorated.

We are thinking of going the week before the Thanksgiving rush or the week after. I was wondering if they are up before Thanksgiving?

Generally, the big decorations don't come out until the day after Thanksgiving. If you come the week before, you might see a few bits and baubles in shops or restaurants, but if you want to see the trees and the full trimmings, after Thanksgiving is a better choice.
