Christmas decorations

We are going to be at FW 11-26 through 12-1 and we wanted to know if there would be any Christmas decorations up at this time? Hopefully the answer is going to be yes.

YES!! WDW starts decorating resorts & parks T-giving weekend. FtW campers start before WDW!!!

Site 301 is going to be a sad sight this year. I hope if Mr. Howard is not going to use it they will leave it empty at least this one time.

Who knows?? Jay might be back!! Of course, the decorations were Donna's thing - so we may not see those again. It's doubtful about FtW leaving the site empty in tribute to Donna.

There was another "regular" who occupied site 1120 for 6-7 months in the winter for at least 12 years. He & his wife both worked at FtW seasonally, all but the last 3 years they were there. Harry had a bird bath that he buried on the site when he left in April, and dug it up and set it up when he returned in October. When he passed away (2 years ago), one of the loop maintenance men dug up the bird bath and put it to the left of the porch at check-in. It looked appropriate in this spot and was a gentle and kind reminder of how Harry loved FtW and how many CM's and regulars loved him. A landscaping manager finally saw it and ordered it OUT! It was not themed to FtW. Even when the story was told to him, he didn't give in, so one of the CM's at the front desk took it home with her. I'm glad the bird bath found an appropriate home.

Harry was like a father to me & loved by many, many people at FtW. Every time I ride my bike past site 1120 I always tell Harry that I love him.

The Christmas spirit will definitly be bountiful at that time of the month. I have two nights during that time (Sun and Monday) at the end of that Thanksigiving weekend and I have been trying since Feb to get the rest of that Thanksgiving time frame. Oh well, if I don't get it then I'll just book it for next year instead and I'll just have to bring out my Disney Christmas decorations then. The campground that time of year can rival any subdivision with all the lights us campers bring.
