Christmas decorations

Hey everyone -

For all of you campers who will be at the Fort around the holidays, when do you put up your Christmas decorations?

We were just at the Fort from Apr. 10 - 19 (stayed in the cabins - our second stay here) and while we were there Disney sucked me back in. We have talked out doing a December trip in the future, but since they had a great discount if we booked another trip before we checked out, we decided to come back again this December. I am so excited!!!

We will be there Dec. 4 - 11 and are looking forward to seeing everyones decorations. I am hoping that most people will have them up by then. Is this too early or will we be able to see a good amount of decorations in the campground?

We arrived on December 3 last year and the decorations were phenomenal! Wherever I'm at, my decorations go up Thanksgiving weekend.

I've never heard of a discount if you book another trip before you check out -- can you give us details?

There was a thing on the table next to the phone that had a code on it and a phone number to call. You had to book before check out to get the discount. There were certain weeks that were highlighted that were available for the discount. I was 30% off of deluxe resort rooms, 30% off of cabins and 40% off of villas (the ones in the DVC resorts). We also had a few days left on our park hoppers that we weren't going to use, so I just paid to upgrade them to no expiration. So, now I'm getting to do my entire holiday trip to WDW for less than I paid for the 10 nights for just the cabin in April. I just bought my tickets to the christmas party too!!! I can't contain my excitement!!!!

last year, we went during the holidays and only put up our decorations at fw, it was much easier on us...

this year, we are going right before nye, so i think the decorations will be at the house this year

These are from 1st week in December 2007. There's tons of stuff up by then.

I think most of the resort and park X-mas decorations are up by the end of November so decorate away when you get there.

we put up our stuff the first day of arrival and statr takign them down the day before we leave...a few at a time ...this year we have a big crew coming so I'm hoping it will go easier...day one is set up day and dinner at a resort......last full day is shopping, packing and dinner at a resort...checkout day...breakfast at TE then back to finish packing, turn in the cart...and head home...You are going to love Christmas at the FORT!!!

We arrived a couple of days after Thanksgiving last year and there were tons of decorated sites upon arrival.

... and we promptly put out our Christmas decor:

Two 'neon' palm trees, Toon-Town-inspired giant light strings, and a 7' Mickey-Santa. Not very impressive by FW standards, but not bad for "Cousin Eddy"!
