Christmas decorations, when?

When I was there in early November last year they were just starting to put up the Christmas decorations.

I have heard of some of the Christmas decorations going up right after Halloween is over, but slowly, a little at a time. New Orleans Square is one of the places that starts getting holiday treatment early on. As it gets closer to the 'official' start of the DLR holiday season, more and more decorations will go up around the parks and hotels and DTD. There are 700 Christmas trees of all sizes to put up in the parks, in the shops, in the restaurants, and lots of garland and Mickey-shaped wreaths and cute trees in ToonTown, and oversized ornaments in A Bug's Land, etc. So it takes quite a bit of time to get everything up. When the 'official' holiday season starts (this year it should begin on Friday, November 20th), then the Winter Castle (w/ light effects that extend up Main Street and sparkly icicles) will be in full effect, the 'snow' will de dropping on Main Street and It's a Small World Holiday will be running, the Carolers will be performing, as well as any holiday parade that may be happening at that time. And of course, they will start selling holiday food items (like the gingerbread men with Mickey ears and lots of other holiday treats) before November 20th.
