We'll be at Aulani for 10 days in December and I'd like to decorate our villa at least a bit.

Last time we hit up the supermarket and Dunkin (something we can't get in Canada), but never went shopping anywhere else. Is there a good Target/Walmart/other local store anyone recommends for some easy holiday decorations? Or other suggestions?

(Anyone arriving after we leave is welcome to all of it!)

There is a store called Daiso in Pearl City, about 15 minutes away from Aulani. It’s a Japanese version of a dollar store, and everything costs $1.50 - $7. They carry a lot of tinsel, cheap ornaments, stockings, etc. Their instagram is daiso_hawaii.

There is a craft store called Ben Franklin located next to Daiso and they have a lot of seasonal decor. However, they are very, very pricey. At least double the price of Joann’s/Michaels. Both of which are not in Hawaii :(

Next to Ben Franklin, there is a CVS with a couple aisles of Christmas decor.

And upstairs from those three stores you’ll find a Don Quijote, a Japanese department store. They carry some imported (but very affordable) decor. You’ll definitely find some unique items there. They also have a large grocery area if you need to pick up supplies. Some years, they sell fresh Christmas trees.

Kapolei Target has the worst dollar spot - it’s TINY! But the regular seasonal seasonal area is usually well stocked.

There is also a large Walmart in Kapolei.

There's a Walmart and a Safeway at the corner of Farrington Highway and Makakilo Drive. That's always our first stop after church at St. Jude the first morning.

Just looked up Don Quijote and it looks amazing. Thank you so much for telling me about it. Any place I can pick up groceries and kiddo can find Pokémon stuff is a solid outing. This will definitely be our first morning run for supplies.
