Christmas decorations at Poly,CR,GF,AKL,WL?

What can you tell me about the Christmas decorations at the above mentioned resorts? What ones would you consider "must-sees"and why? We will be touring with a DS4 and a DD7. We have several hours schd. to see some of the WDW resorts decorations. Did I miss any other "must-see" resorts?

I took the kids to a local Christmas tree festival last night and they were so impressed. I can't wait until they see the WDW decorations.

Any tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We love the decorations at WDW and visit certain hotels every year. My list always includes WL (we stay there, so kind of hard to avoid it ), GF, and AKL. That is the order in which we love them also. WL Christmas decorations are so downhome-woodsy. Big fireplace, so Christmas-like. Love it.

Last year the GF had a different tree from all the other years-I hope it is back to 'normal' this year.

You can sometimes get a schedule of Christmas events for the hotel from the front desk. I know GF has had choral groups and orchastral presentations. They also have a gingerbread store (made of-guess what!) with various goodies for sale. WL has not had as many Christmas events in the past few years. AKL is also beautiful. We love visiting there anyway, so the tree is just an added extra.

Personally I don't care for the decorations at CR or Poly, but that is just me (actually us).

I would also recommend the Epcot resorts. YC, BC, and the BW also have very impressive displays. The CR and the Poly have 2 of the least impressive of all of the resorts IMHO.

Thw WL...The last time we were there we went to bed and the next morning ALL the decoration were up. They put them up over night and the Christams tree is fabulous!!!

I agree with WL, GF, and AKL --- although we've never seen AKL at the holidays, I've read many posts that it's worth seeing, plus the kids can see the animals from the lookouts. If you have time, we like BW and BC/YC also.

We just got back this evening, and I would agree with another poster that though it was nice to see the decorations, the CR and the Poly didn't really stand out ALL that much. The GF did look really nice, though. We didn't get over to see the WL or AKL, though. Wish we'd had time, though.
