I was wondering when the Christmas decorations and lights are put up at Disney World. I was wanting to take a trip during November. Will they be out by then. Also, is just MK decorated or all of the parks????

As the previous poster indicates, everyplace is decorated. And the decoration dates are staggered through the month of November. What is really cool is that they decorate at night - so if you are staying in a Disney resort, you might go to bed with the normal decor, and when you wake up, it's Christmastime! The same happens in January when they begin to take everything down.

I was blown away this past December. We had never seen the Christmas decorations, and they were stunning. The Osbourne lights at MGM are spectacular. Hope you get to see them!

All of WDW is incredible during the holidays. DW and I took our first holiday trip down to Disney a couple of years ago and this year will now be our third in a row. It's impossible to think of going at another time of year now after seeing it during the holidays. It literally is like a whole new experience no matter how many times you have been to Disney before....we love it. :wave2:

I saw them last year, and they were all just lovely. I can't wait to plan another trip back to see them all again.

They normally don't turn the light on until Thanksgiving weekend.

I was there a couple of years ago and left the week before Thanksgiving. Except for the Osborn lights everything else seemed to be lit up. And like one of the other post said, it's magical that you wake up in the morning and the resort has been transformed. I was totally blown away. :earsgirl:

I really hope I get to go this year for the decorations. Maybe, I can go during Dec. (instead of Nov) to see the Osbourne decorations!!!! :earsgirl:

We were there last year the 2nd week in November - just as decorations were going up. Every day more & more was decorated! We were at the All-Star Music & magically, one night while we were there, the hotel was decorated! We had also gone on the backstage tour and got to see the Christmas warehouse - which was spectacular! We saw the Contemporary Hotel tree sitting outside the warehouse and the next day it was standing outside the Contemporary! Anyway, we went a few years ago the week after Thanksgiving. It was the best trip ever! The decorations are wonderful. If you go then don't miss going to the Very Merry Christmas Party. It's an extra ticket event, when they close the MK and reopen and hour or so later. Well worth the money - the parade, hot chocolate, and snow on Main Street! And at that time the crowds are minimal! You'll love it!
