Christmas Decorations at Disney Resorts

I've read that every resort is full if christmas decorations and that there is a gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian (I think). Is there any easy way to see all the decorations or do you just drive around to each one. We are staying off site.

As there are no Osborne Lights I thougt we could go around the resorts instead. Does anyone have any ideas or know of anywhere we must not miss.

I've visited most of the resorts at Christmas time and all of the deluxe resorts are "Must See's". Then visit all the moderates if you have time. The value resorts are all decorated very nice but not as spectacular as the others. I stayed on site and just used Disney transportation. Try hitting a few every night after the parks are closed. Depending on when you are there all the paks except Epcot are probably closed early. (Christmas Week everything's open late)

It's pretty easy to see the ones I consider the Cream of the Crop.
One day, take the Ferry to WL from MK - It's really Not to be Missed!!! Just Incredible!. After returning via ferry to MK, hop on the Resort Monorail & you can take in Polynesian, Contemorary & Grand Floridian (Note- You don't have to go into MK to do these) Then, you can also do the Epcot area Resorts pretty easily. If coming from Epcot, just exit the park via the "Backdoor" in WS & Take in Yacht & Beach Club, Swan & Dolphin & Boardwalk. If you aren't going from the park, just bus over to Boardwalk & walk the circuit from there....

Celebration - I read somewhere that the hotel in Celebration is wonderful to check out for Christmas decorations. There is also some place that sells "chestnuts roasting on an open fire"....never had them...does anyone want to say what they taste like? I was also told that there is "snow" in Celebration also..don't know where or when. If anyone has further information, this would be a good place to post.

Now I question the "gingerbread merry-go-round" in one of the Disney places...think I remember hearing it was in the American Adventure. Can anyone confirm this. Thanks.

I've had chestnuts, freshly roasted and frankly, the idea of them is better than the reality. It's something of an acquired taste and unless you're a huge chestnut fan, I'd give them a miss. Sorry to burst any bubbles!

Disney has, in the past, done a behind the scenes tour of the holiday decorations in the parks and at the resorts. Not sure if it will be offered this year, but sounds like it could be very good; here's a link to a description from wdwig.com.
