Christmas decorations AKL

When if any christmas decorations at AKL go up ??
We will be there nov 29th to dec 3rd any chances they'll be up ?
I just love christmas and decorations

Christmas decorations are usually all up the Friday after Thanksgiving. Some start a little before hand just due to the large number of things to put up. Any decorations that are going to be out during your trip, should be set up before you get there. I don't remember how much they decorate at AKL though.

We've been there during Christmas. They set up a Very Large Tree and decorate it with African ornaments. I'll have to find some pictures, but I don't remember any other decorations there other than the tree.

Don't get your hopes up about the chocolate village shown on the Travel Channel show. They didn't do it last year (Poly as well).

We were at AKL last year 11/26 to 12/2. The lobby was completely decorated when we arrived. The giant tree was up, the balconies had the garland and there were other Christmas trees scattered throughout the lobby and restaurant areas. No more chocolate village though

We'll be there Jan 5th. I've a feeling we're going to go to bed that night with the tree up, and it'll be down when we wake up the next morning.

We are at AKL this year for Christmas, 12/18 - 12/26! Can't wait to see the decorations. The WL is also beautiful at the holidays.

Christmas decorations begin going up immediately after Halloween and are completely gone around January 10-12. They start playing Christmas music in the resorts right after Halloween, too. I don't know the exact date, but have heard it as early as November 4. And they keep playing the music through the first part of January, too.

IMO, the Christmas decorations at AKL this year weren't all that impressive - but I got sick as a dog with pneumonia while I was there, so that may have clouded my judgement!! I think there were less, though.

That said, what they do is distinctive - like the AKL itself. They aren't traditional American decorations. If you enjoy the AKL, you'll probably like them. If you don't, you probably won't.

IMO, the prettiest resorts at Christmastime are the Grand Floridian and the Wilderness Lodge. WL is my favorite, but that's a personal preference. It isn't that they do more - the Beach Club and Boardwalk do it up, too, but the color scheme of their hotels kind of clashes with the decorations.

Keep an eye on the Travel Channel. They have a show (or two?) about Disney at Christmas and show some of the resorts.
