Christmas Decorations @ AKL - Am I going to be dissapointed??

We will be at AKL in early Dec. I was looking forward to havig our resort "Christmasy" for our stay. With our new ressie (formerly CBR) at AKL will we be dissapointed ? Any info from people who stayed there in the holiday season last year would be greatly appreciated!!!

I didn't stay there but reports were that the decorations were terrific. Since you go through the lobby more at a hotel like AKL than you would at CBR, you'll probably have "more" of a Christmasy feel at AKL.

We were there last December. The lobby is beautifully decorated. You will not be disappointed !!

The lobby area was breathtaking. It is NOT a traditional, New Englandy, Courrier and Ives type decor though. The tree is five stories tall and is unbelievably gorgeous in it's African flaired design.

We stayed at AKL in January, and were pleasantly surprised that the Christmas decorations were still up. We thought they were just beautiful!

I really loved the little gingerbread African village outside of Boma!

We were at WDW the week before Christmas last year. We did not stay at AKL, but we did go to Boma. The decoration in AKL were beautiful! Make sure you check out the gingerbread village outside of Boma, too!

How soon do the decorations go up at AKL? We will be there for Thanksgiving Weekend and were hoping we would be able to see them. We did see the gingerbread village last year but we were so intent on making sure we were on time for our PS that I didnt get a chance to see the lobby itself or actually to take notice of the lobby.
