These are some highlights from our inside decor this year…



Funny note…that first tree was a Black Friday deal. It was supposed to be our new tree and replace the one with the white lights in the pic of the bar. Between the flocking, pine cones and globe light covers, we all decided any additional ornaments would be overkill. It’s like a self decorating tree!

as we were driving home this evening I was looking at all the outdoor lights and decor folks have up, seeing trees through windows...made me wish people would just leave them up for an extra month or so b/c of the beautiful colors.

is there some kind of live tree shortage this year? I mentioned to dh that I've not seen one live tree stand, one troop of scouts selling them in a parking lot or one home improvement or grocery store with any out front this year.

we are having 50mph winds-all those pretty outdoor displays likely are not going to be doing well (once we get power restored).

Yep only 1 tote. Minimalistic. Not for everyone. However, the holidays are a breeze.

This is all we have done so far. At least half of the ornaments still need to be hung, and the garland, just to finish the tree. Y'all put me to shame.

I hate to admit how much I have…and as bad as my Christmas decor cache is - it’s dwarfed by my Halloween collection - I think I need to find a sort of holiday decoration help group…

When does everyone take down their decorations/tree? I usually leave mine up through the epiphany. We have a busy January coming up so I might take everything down on the 2nd this year.

The white tree was new this year; and, needs more ornaments or some ribbon.
The silver tree has our family ornaments.


I adore trees and reindeer so I have quite a few around the house; but, these are my favorite.

@neverlandsky I just love the idea of stockings being the tree skirt, that is so cool!

Your cozy basement is soooo cozy and I love your "A Christmas Story" (Ralphie) scene! That must really make it feel like Christmas has started once you set that up!
