Im a bit confused as I thought I could book restuarants 2 months in advance, so today would be the day to book for xmas day, and tomorrow for boxing day, but the park hours on the official website are only released until the 18th Dec.

If I dont know what time the park closes, how do I decide on what time to make my bookings?

Cheers,
Sar

although you can make reservations 60 days in advance for DLP restaurants, you don't need to (its not like WDW where you have to book as far in advance as you can).

you'll be safe waiting until the park hours for your dates are released before reserving your restaurant tables :). The Christmas park programme will be out around 7th November, as this is the first day of Christmas season, so you will be loosely able to see what attractions take place at which time when you are there, should help with the meal planning a bit.

you can also ask the staff on the dining reservation line if theres a particular restaurant and time you'd like for Christmas Day, they will be able to tell you (next week I'd have thought, 60 days out) if your venue and time are available to book.

When we went for Christmas a few years ago I didn't book our meals until nearer the end of November and had no problem getting everything I wanted - even though my DH had been pulling his hair out! We ate our Christmas lunch in the Lucky Nugget (in the days when it had characters) and it was fabulous! :santa:

This will our third trip over Christmas day and we have booked at the beginning of December each time.

Christmas day is reasonably quiet in the parks whereas Boxing Day we found to be one of the busiest ever.

we are there xmas day and boxing day.
thinking of silver spur and blue lagoon for lunches, and not really sure about whether to bother booking for dinner, or just winging it with counter service.

just me and hubby are going. first time away from family at xmas, but just really wanted to do something different.

cant wait, very excited :cheer2::santa:

We ate at the Blue Lagoon on Christmas day last year - however the children have asked for Cafe Mickey this year

The main park will be open to about 9 or 10pm on Christmas day and it seems very strange to be there rather than at home but it is very special

Are you arrving Christmas Eve or Day ?

we are going on a real cheapo coach trip :bored:
leave really early in the morning of the 24th, get to hotel on the outskirts of paris early evening, and have xmas day and boxing day in parks (get taken by coach), and then come home on the 27th. We did the same a few years ago on new years eve, and loved it (except how cold it was! buying thermals specially for this trip!).

We have always arrived early 22nd or 23rd to maximise the magic before Christmas and then drive home on boxing day after lunch so that the children could open the big presents that Father Christmas couldn't get to Paris and left at home.

Last year was great as we had lots of snow - the main car park was not good but all the surrounding roads were clear.

As you have found out thermals are a must - also with the snow last year it was surprising how many people walked around in trainers and wet jeans/trousers where the wetness had soaked up.
