Christmas Day ???

My family is traveling by plane arriving on Christmas Day and staying in Windsor Hills.

My question...are there any stores open to be able to buy food for at least the day?

What do you all suggest?

I can't think of a single grocery store that will be open on Christmas day. If they are open, they are likely to close pretty early. Maybe you will find a convenience store open ... the kind that is attached to a gas station. Or maybe the Walgreens? You might be able to pick up some very expensive breakfast stuff like OJ and milk and cereal and do your other shopping the next day. Maybe you can contact the owner of the house and see if you can have some stuff delivered the day before. Good luck!

All the places at WDW will be open - perhaps you could go to the Hess gas station near DTD and get some milk etc from there & get a snack at DTD (but it will be busy). How about eating at the airport on arrival?

Hi, looks like Walgreen's is open on Christmas. Go about one mile west of Old Lake Wilson on Hwy 192 and Walgreens will be on your right across from Formosa Gardens' Blvd and the big shopping center there. They will have reasonably priced staples. You can head there before you check into WH or just a short trip over after settled in.

There are lots of restaurants on the 192 strip including Denny's, Perkin's, and other chains. I am sure you will find something open. It will be a very busy time. In the Formosa Garden's mall just across from Walgreen's are a number of eating places from Giordono's Pizza, Outback, to small take out Chinese and Subway...Not sure if any of those will be open but worth a try.
Another option to check out would be Golden Corral between Old Lake Wilson and Formosa Garden's Blvd. It is a great buffet that is always fresh and good because it is so popular. They offer Christmas hours that "vary by location."

Another thought would be to eat at one of the resorts on site -- then worry about Publix on the 26th.
