Christmas Day meals

Just wondering.........

Where have you eaten at on Christmas day? Which meal? And did you go anywhere they served a 'traditional' Christmas meal? Would you go there again?

In Dec 2003, we ate Christmas dinner at LeCellar. It was really yummy. Unfortunately, I cannot remember where we ate at for our other meals that day!

We had Christmas dinner at Crystal Palace in 2004. I don't remember much from that meal because I was soaked to the bone and freezing--it poured from noon on that day and was in the low 40's. We're planning on Chef Mickey's this Christmas for dinner.

In 2005 we ate at Palio. We figured Christmas dinner had to be a little nicer than a Character buffet. Palio did not disapoint.

This past year, we had Christmas Eve dinner at Kona. There were only a couple of changes to the regular menu; but we LOVE the food there, so it didn't matter. We like a fairly formal Christmas Eve dinner but we have something different every year; so, next year, I'd like to book California Grill. The Christmas Day dinner didn't excite me. I'd prefer their regular meal.

For Christmas brunch, we went to Chef Mickey's. I saw nothing different from the norm. In fact, it really was not very good. Next year, we're sticking with our favorite breakfast -- Crystal Palace.

For dinner, we booked Whispering Canyon. I wish I had a copy of the Christmas menu in front of me, but I will try to reconstruct it from memory. It was served in a skillet, but it was not the normal skillet dinner. There was a yummy salad, can't remember the bread served with a cranberry-apple conserve (but we enjoyed it), pork served with a cranberry based sauce (yummy!!!), grilled turkey (very good), salmon (I'm not a salmon-lover, so I couldn't comment on this.), mashed potatoes (The normal, tasty ones served here.), and fantastic chocolate roulage. If you have kids in your party, WC is especially fun. Worth noting: Most of the guests were from the area. I think that really says something about the quality of the Christmas meal served here.

We ate a late breakfast at 1900 Park Fare in December 2005. We thoroughly enjoyed it, too! We got to see the huge gingerbread house at GF.

We also had dinner this past Christmas 2005 at 1900 Park Fare, it was nice I enjoyed it and my girls even more getting to see Cinderella, prince Charming and Belle and the Mice....The food was great but felt a little more casual than I thought it would be...Will be going back next week for Breakfast.......for My DD2 b-day.....

We did a CP dinner package Christmas Eve at the Rose & Crown. Saw the early CP and had a fairly early dinner. They didnt have any menu changes and most of us had some sort of steak but since we usually have beef for dinner if we cook on Christmas it was the same. For Christmas Breakfast we went to Trails End. Then for Christmas dinner we went offsite to Columbia in Celebration. (well thats sort of disney isnt it?) Columbia was tremendous...one of the best meals we have had in FL.

We ate at WCC this past Christmas and none of us actually liked it We are trying for LeCelliers this year!

we were at 1900 Park fare this past year for Xmas day and really enjoyed it. it seemed nicer than other buffets....maybe because it's smaller.
