We are hoping to be at WDW Christmas Day.

Where is the best place to get a good Christmas meal?

I am thinking supper time. I hoped for LTT, for turkey, but there is no availability.

Can we get turkey and stuffing and all the trimmings at any other place?

Do any places do anything special for Christmas day?

well the first question is, which park are you going to be at?

From what I understand, MK and EPCOT get VERY full on Christmas day and will often shut the gates at midday because they are so full. I don't know if this is true or not, but we decided it would be better to go to the Hollywood Studios for Christmas day, since they have Extra Magic Hours in the evening and I assume they would not be as busy as the two 'classic' parks.

Therefore we have made our Christmas meals over three days, 24th 25th and 26th lol. 24th is at EPCOT so we are going to Le Cellier for lunch and Chefs de France for dinner. 25th of course is the Studios so we are doing Mama Melrose's. And the 26th is MK where we are doing LTT.

I reckon any of these would be great for a Christmas meal, although there are lots of resort restaurants too.

xmas day reservations have been open since June.

Have you tried searching wdw online to see what is available then work from that. There seems to be alot of availability for late dinner times.

If you can't find anything at WDW (Artist Point and Jiko would be very nice) try The Gaylord Palms (practically on WDW property.) They have a really nice buffet restaurant (Villa de Flora). We went there for Thanksgiving last year and it was awesome. You could see Ice too.

There is openings at 45 places, I just wanted to know if there was any place that was a GREAT place to have Christmas dinner.

Any place that has a special Christmas meal, or fun, or decor, or anything Special about it.

I am thinking we don't want Chinese or German or Italian, something a little more turkey and mashed potatoes!!

Hollywood and Vine has openings... how will their Christmas buffet be?
Thanks

My parents went to Germany in Epcot last year on Christmas and they loved it. They said they had a lot of traditional Christmas food and even duck. I don't think it was all German since you said you didn't want German food. We have reservations for it this year for Christmas day. It is also my dad's bday and it was his request again. We are going to eat at Cinderella's castle for lunch. It is our children's Christmas present.

We love WCC ay WL at xmas. They have a special xmas platter and it great. They have turkey, pork, beef, mashed potatoes & veg. and stuffing the works. We like to sit in the quiet area but if you have children you might enjoy the main room for fun and games. The resort is beautifully decorated and the xmas tree and big firelace just makes it xmas. You can have a family photo taken in front of the smas tree. I must advise you it's a little late because we made our adr un July. There are always cancellations. I also recommend the Gaylord Palms.

How about Captain's Grille at YC? Short walk from Epcot, and I believe they have a Christmas buffet.

I don't kow if it's still the case, but most restaurants used to offer some form of a traditional turkey dinner for Thanksgiving. It's been several years since we spent Christmas at WDW and I don't recall if they do the same. We'll be there this Christmas day and have reservations at the Rose & Crown and I'll be satidfied with my usual fish & chips. Try calling WDWDINE and see if they can give you any guidance.

I believe www.allears.net has a list of xmas day menus. I read somewhere that Rose & Crown serves a traditional xmas dinner.

That would be great. That's where we're having dinner on Christmas. I'll be happy with fish and chips if they don't have turkey, though.

Of the 46 places that are available, I would either grad WCC at Wilderness Lodge or Tails End at Fort Wilderness. WCC has times available at 3:45 and this is a traditional Christmas dinner and the surroundings of the lobby is beautiful. We have eatin here many times on Christmas day and have reservations again this year for 6:00. I have heard that the Trails end at FW is also good if you are looking for the traditional Christmas dinner....and it is cheaper in price
