One of my favorite Christmases from my childhood was when we went to the movies.
Every christmas eve we have a tradition that we eat our favorite foods. you know things to expensive or rich to eat more often or just our favorites...always a unique gathering of food with kids......one time my son wanted fruit loops, so we had fruitloops at our meal. If all you want is chocolate, then go for it.
Two years ago, we did virtually nothing for Christmas day. We opened gifts slowly over the entire morning, ate our traditional homemade waffles with strawberries and whipcream, bacon and Orange juice. Then we stayed in our PJ's watched movies most of the day, only to stop to munch on favorite foods, play with toys and nap.
It was such a great day. Going to try to duplicate it again this year.
I get so stressed over the holidays, I work with at risk kids so I try to not only do christmas for my family, but to make it a little special for lots of other families.....Gets to be just a lot of work, but worth it in the end. I just need Christmas DAY to be quiet since the 24 days leading up to it are so busy
