Don't take that as it's not miserable crowded and come in with that attitude and anything less will make you happy. if you come in thinking it's empty your gong to be miserable.. Adam the woo did a youtube vlog from MK on christmas if you want to see what not phased closing damn there's a lot of people here right now looks like.

i find "really that was available" adrs and fastpasses all the time. that's not really an indicator of park crowds. I also think they held back some for last minute travelers and locals (and THANK YOU! I GET TO EAT NEXT WEEKEND!)

Thanks! I checked it out. Definitely worse than the "level 10" crowds I experienced in MK in April. I have pretty low expectations -I'm only doing Fp rides and I have an ADR for Bog lunch and wishes dessert party. I'm just happy that I will likely get in the park and not worried about a phased closure.

I went in July 3rd with the same expectation and had a blast. I found the park not that crowded until mid afternoon but it was only 1 fireworks show.. It was worse than the adam video by the time the fireworks happened. But we got a couple more than fp+ rides, had a great lunch and a quick dinner and enjoyed the little extras that I wasn't expecting like different normal music and minor things but gave us somethign we've never done or seen and the crowd size didn't matter for them.

how NYE will be I don't know since it has a smaller holiday fireworks earlier in the night I think some families might just get out of there after it but get replaced by everyone coming in at midnight.

I was in MK this afternoon, and having done a number of NYE/holiday trips to WDW in the past, I can say that (to me) it felt a bit less crowded than normal. It's still insanely crowded (Laugh Floor had a 45 minute wait for part of the day and Mad Tea Party held a 25 minute wait for most of the afternoon as well), but if you go in with managed expectations and lots of patience, you'll be fine. I'm heading back to MK on Friday for the whole day and the Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks (I'm doing the dessert party for that one), so I'm curious to see how that compares.

I also noticed an abundance of ADRs become available today. Specifically, Tony's and BOG seemed to become more readily available, but I wouldn't take that as an indication of lower crowds. It appeared to be a planned release on Disney's part (far too many openings that appeared at once to be pure coincidence in my opinion). That said, it is worth noting that Disney dropped the blackout dates for FL Resident tickets for this week, which certainly surprised me. That does seem to indicate they're expecting slightly lighter crowds this year. But again, pack your patience, because it's still extremely crowded!
