Christmas Cruising 2005

HI all!

Glad to hear everyone enjoyed their Easters.

Grim ALWAYS gets peeps for Easter, and Halloween and Christmas, and Valentine's Day. My how Peeps have branched out!

I love the goatee, too, Chicken! It looks great! :) Those were cute pics of you guys, Nan. I can totally see Piper and I baking our hearts out in a few years. I love to bake Christmas goodies and that new island will be a BIG help. I always run out of room....don't think that will be a problem anymore.

Tig, your "Skip" question made me giggle. Skip is the last thing that Grim would ever be called. When I think of a "Skip", I think of a really outgoing guy who loves sports, and we all know that's not Grim :) Its so nice of you to check out our registry. We, of course, don't expect anything except your continued wishes for a healthy Piper. :goodvibes

Aisling, I can't wait to get Piper's nursery done. Here's a link to the crib bedding that i'm going to buy. It will kind of give you an idea of the theme of the room.

Love the bedding Dede. Makes me think of how I tried to hide the bedding I bought for Molly from Paul. Miss Molly wasn't planned for us, so he was a bit reluctant on me spending on the little one. (ha like that was his excuse) I got a hey diddle diddle theme going for her room. It was soooooo cute. We still have the house we lived in then (as a rental now) and everytime we rent it to someone new we offer to paint over the stencilled border in her room, but it's lasted all these years. Currently with a couple of rugby playing guys in the house, rather funny ya think?

I had to laugh at all you guys commenting on Paul's beard. He has had one on and off the whole time I've known him, so it doesn't phase me either way. He actually didn't start growing it until the last 3 days of Xmas vaca, that was silly huh? It is growing in with much more gray hair this time around I might add...

So the ear is slowwwwwwwly getting better. Went to the doctor today she was suprised to see it wasn't further along in recovery, but not yet...

Well time to get kids to bed or moving that way....

see ya later,

Nan

This is so funny, because I always thought of Skip as a nerd! Biff is the guy who likes sports!

Dede, oh how much delight you're going to have making a lovely nursery. I didn't know Pottery Barn had baby decor! The green and pink is a nice modern look, not the overdone traditional all-the-pink-you-can-fit-in-the-room look. I like it a lot. :thumbsup2

I was just recently remembering something you posted a long while ago, Dede. We were all posting out pregnancy/birth experiences, and you commented, "if I'm ever lucky enough to get pregnant...". And now you are! :cloud9:

Hi Nan! Glad your ear is healing, slowly but surely. :listen:

Don't forget this gem from Nan right after I got my motorcycle:

Oh my now you've gone and done it....expect that you'll be telling us some other news soon. Always seems that after you do something big like that (the bike) then something else will follow....
:rotfl2: :rotfl:

I just love being that person that gets to say "told ya so" hee hee hee (Only when it fun like this)

Our friends that are due next month (did I mention that I got invitied to the hospital for delivery?) always laugh about how when they met (through us, she was my roommate and he was Paul's college buddy) I said just get over it, you're going to marry him...she broke up with him 3 times before she finally gave over to the cause and fell deep in love...now happily ever after with 1 + 1 on the way...

Too funny..

How is Bella these days? :lmao:

Nan, how cool! How do you feel about it? Are you going to go and witness the birth?

since it's a C section I've opted to be right outside the delivery, so that when baby comes and travels to the nursery Daddy can go with and I'll then step in with my girl friend in her recovery. So as close as it can get without the actual surgery sounded good to me.... should be an experience!

My boss brought one of his toys to work today...

Seems he has a Ducati 749 just like someone else I know ;)

'cept his is yellow.

I think his wife is having issues with it,

cause he brought it to work to store it there :confused3

I'm gonna ask him tomorrow if his has a name

Sweet!

Poor guy though... Lucky for me I have the bestest wife in the World! :teeth:

Bella is great Nan, though she sits in the garage too much these days. I plan on getting her out to the track once I get a truck (after the house if finished...).

grim pirate:

Yeah...he admitted today its at work cause of the wife...

and Yes John, you both are very lucky and good for each other~

His Ducati doesn't even have a name!

He did smile when I told him yours was Bella, that's his daughter's name (Isabella.)

Aisling, that guy has more toys than all of us combined but what good are they if he's not allowed to take them out of the toybox right?

~I just shared this one over on the contest board and thought I'd repost it here :)~

do these kids look happy or what? That was the begining of the trip no doubt...

Just thought you'd like to see them.

Nan

oops sorry they are sideways....let me try to fix that....

oh well..I tried can't do it easily...that means Tigg will figure out I'm sure :rotfl2:

What would I do without that techno genuis friend of mine? :lmao:

Did ya see this one before???

(oops don't have it out here, I'll have to post from in the house later..unless my techno friend beats me to it....I was going to find the lovely picture of me and Capt Tom that first night we went wandering with our beers in tow)

Talk to ya later,

N

Just thought you'd like to see them.
Nan, they have grown since we last saw them! We were watching some of the cruise just this morning, and there's a scene when Chad asks Wilson to "say something" into the camera, while we were waiting for the DCL bus. And Wilson looks at Chad and says "I don't know what to say, but I'm excited". Doesn't sound like much just typing it out, but OMG it was adorable! Thanks for the picture. :thumbsup2

And Tig, did Disney genetically engineer those flowers to bloom with hidden Mickeys??
Another beautiful photo. Did you ever think of taking your flower photos and putting them into a book form for you to enjoy for years to come?

Today is Jesse's birthday. My baby is 14. :cake: We had a nice lobster lunch (his choice! I've trained him well. ;) ), took him on a mini shopping spree ($150 for 3 shirts and a pair of jeans!!, but he really needed the clothes, and only the cool logos are acceptable at this age around here...Nan, wait till Molly and Wilson get there! Thank goodness Chad's past that age.), and now waiting for friends to arrive for a little party.

There's a really hilarious movie on now about a mischievous(sp) oragutan. I'm not much of a movie watcher (short attention span :rotfl: ), but this is so funny. It's amazing what they can train a monkey to do.

Gotta go do some things now. :wave2:

I got'cha Nan :)

Speakin of you and pictures...First Chad, You owe me some water photos-Banana boat pics to be specific! Ask him if he can load some of that video into his myspace or make a disc of some of his footage for us.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESSE!!!!!!! :dancer:

Aisling, I think about organizing my stuff all the time, if I didn't have to work for a living it's all I'd do ;)

Have a Great Night my friends~

colleen.
