Christmas Cruising 2005

Jill thanks for your positive thoughts on ressies! :rolleyes:
Grim, thanks for checking. So you can't even change existing ressies?
(PS you are now using your sig, so wearing your own undies now??!! :rotfl2: )
Sharon--well, I already joined DCL CJII from the scrapping thread that formed a yahoo board...same one? I must say, though, after some of the chatter, I didn't realize that other peoples pics would be in it, just layouts...not sure that was what I was looking for!
Gotta run an errand on my sick day!

To change, I would have to cancel. Then it would allow me to go back in and reserve again, at which that point I could see what's available, but I don't like you guys THAT much :rotfl2:

And as far as you know, I'm in my own underpants.

grim pirate:

Kris you can change ressies by cancelling and then making another but once you hold a Palo ressie for dinner all the other dinner slots are removed from your view, same for Brunch and high Tea..

Oh my goodness Jim and Grim it was hard enough keeping one of you in check now you've multipied heaven help the group.

Jim just warn him about English ladies I don't want to have to shock everyone again LOL :rotfl2:

Ok, I didn't even realize I'd been hijacked until now, and I really wish I'd seen Grim in my underpants. Where was I while all this was happening? :confused3

Hi Everybody. Everyone having a happy Monday? :rolleyes:

Kris it is definitely not too early for a mental health day. I realized a long time ago that if I'm not feeling well, the LAST place I need to be is in a classroom full of kids. Its hard enough to make the zillions of split second decisions you have to make on any given day when you're feeling WELL! Its a lose, lose situation if I show up sick. :guilty:

I ended up with a sort of mental health day today. I went to "Camp Yearbook", which is the yearly yearbook seminar that Lifetouch sets up for us out here. Its so much fun and you get to see all the great yearbooks created from the previous year. The presenter used our yearbook from last year as her "good" example. We were so proud! Now I'm totally pumped about doing this year's yearbook, and can't wait to get my staff started. We have a really great group of kids to help us this year, so I know our book will be fabulous!

I do love to scrapbook, but doubt I'll be doing any of it while I'm on the cruise. I don't have room to bring any of my stuff with me, and it takes me forever to scrap a page. I agonize over what to do with each page. I have to sit and mull it over for a while. I guess that's why it takes me so long to finish a scrapbook, and why I'm so far behind. :earboy2:
I got a really cool mickey head punch for my birthday, though. Maybe I'll make some punchies to share. They're about the size of the home depot disney paint swatches. I've already used it to cut out sheets of magnetic paper to use for my Christmas Cruising door.

Tig, can you PM me with your address? I'd like to get our gift swap items shipped directly to you, if that's ok. I'm so excited that I was able to get what we really wanted to get in a small size to fit in the boxes. (at least I think they'll fit in the boxes! :teeth: )

Well, I'm going to work on designing yearbook covers, so bye for now!

::MinnieMo Dede princess:

Dede, PM sent...

I have my eye on that mickey hole punch, but refuse to pay full price for anything. :rolleyes:

Trust me, if he goes on sale...he's mine!

Sharon, thanks for the scrapping offer. I'm not an avid scrapper...I have every intention of trying it and have yet to even start. :crazy:

Wanna see MY scrapbook, go to my photobucket :laughing:

~~~
My replacement started today, so far so good-she came back after lunch so I haven't scared her away quite yet ;)
I did do some reading...I see Grim and Jim are going to be quite the duo...dynamic duo even...
Lynn, what kind of warnings should we have of you? enquiring minds wanna know.
I'll catch up with everyone again tonight when I get home.
We are having dinner with Mom tonight ... filet mignon is on sale!!!! Anyway, the BF will be with us tonight. I will begin my conversion to the Disneyside!! HIS mom is thrilled she says she has no one to go with. Think I should tell her about the DISboards?
:disrocks:
Bring her on over...
That's the journal I joined , too. I know what you mean about "other" people's pics. Oh well, live and learn!
Sharon/Kris/Dede: Clue me in...what's the link to the scrap thing you are talking about? I'm clueless.... :confused3 :confused3 :confused3
Boys: Please keep your own underware on for the night, we are a respectable family board...(well, sometimes)
Karen: What's for dinner, steak....be right there??? Shall I bring a pie???
Aisling: check the mail box, I sent it....
Jill: Hi :wave2:
Tigg: Almost done with LP mags...shall I package them up back to you or forward to the next reading guest?
Tori: Where are you? :wave2: Busy at school I presume.
Check back later,
Nan
Jill: Never know one just might find it's way to you too :-) But I may have to stick it on you myself....more fun that way :banana:
Okay, question and I need a reply to buy our airtickets....
I should fly into MCO right????
Nan
Noone is asking to see the magazines :confused3
Mom, do you want to read them next?
Our doggie likes to go driving too! She's almost as obstinant about it too.
Mika likes to go when I take the kids to school.
With our Austrian coming and my neighbor having one I'm back to taking Britt to school in the am's (so's John while I am away.)
It'll be a good excuse to take my puppy for her rides. My Mika even knows the word! We can't say it unless we truly intend to take her...she's so smart :)
In my best english accent...I remember the knights of NI! LOVE monty python! after Mel Brooks of course! :crazy:
:wave: Ni! Christmas Cruisers!
Karen: Tell Kayla's BF that he can't be too old for Disney! Too prudish maybe, but never to old! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Straighten that boy out will ya! :laughing:
My kids may prefer Universal but they still appreciate my disney :love:
The knights on their imaginary horses; this is one of the things I remember most from Monty Python. But, what is it they are saying. Is that your Ni
They Are the nights who Say "Ni". It is a most terrifying sound. It can drive even the bravest night quite mad.
However, if You Bring them a Shrubbery....
Patsy is the name of the horse/squire for King Arthur. Lovely bloke him.
(The Broadway show really fleshes out the relationship between Patsy and King Arthur far better than the movie did.)
Ma'am Yes Ma'am!
The Circle Journal is a thread in the Scrapbook forum. While it sounds like a great idea, the way it is set up now is less personal than what I proposed in my original post about a cruise circle journal since all the pics and entries would be from DISers on the same Xmas cruise. PM me and I will send you the actual details of what I circle journal is. I would be happy to coordinate all the details. We need to get anywhere from 6 to 12 people on the cruise (DISers, preferably, of course) to get one started.
I love you people, I always get what I need here... a laugh and an answer..Paul is grumbling away on a contract...I can't talk now...I don't care, just book us a dumb flight....
thank and booking 'em.
Sharon: I'll pm ya later to get the goodies, or just PM them to me.
Nan
I'm up for sharing pictures and a trip report after our cruise!
Then while you all are doing your scrapping you'd have a central point to grab whatever pics I take for your own projects...how's that sound?
Why 2:45 AM?? Someone please fill me in! I don't want to miss out on this!
Because at 12:01 Pacific Time it will offially be 75 days out and I want to make whatever ressies I can!!
Ok, I guess it's well known by now that some concepts elude me, so I won't be ashamed to ask this: We have to get up at 2:45 AM because it'll be 12:01 Pacific Time on Sunday which will be 75 days out??? Ok, I'm on Eastern Time, so can I go online at 12:01 AM on Sunday morning and book my Palo/excursions? But Kris, for you it's 2:45 because of the time difference??? But why 2:45 and not 2:01? Please help!
Just to let the Monty Python fans know, my Jesse is a MP FANATIC. He has every episode on DVD, and probably memorized. This will be a hilarious cruise. We should be the Spamalot Cruisers.
Ok, I didn't even realize I'd been hijacked until now, and I really wish I'd seen Grim in my underpants. Where was I while all this was happening?
Like I just said, we are one hilarious bunch. Dede, I'm laughing so hard, you're so cute! Grim, give Dede back her underpants right now!! :rotfl:
Sharon and Kris, I don't know much about the scrap thing. Or was it a journal? Gotta go back and re-read the posts.
I made some beautiful door signs, but this very evening, my laptop crashed and had to be cleaned out. I lost my signs, ALL my work music, my patient files, my cruise tips, my codes, photos, wavs, you name it. I'm taking it well, but when it first happened, I was so upset. I'm going to get back to work right away on my signs. I loved making then, and I can't get over how good they came out. Next time, I'm going to print them right away.
Tig, getting excited about your trip??? Grim and Dede, too?
Tomorrow the public schools are closed for 2 days for the Jewish New Year, but my kids go to Catholic schools, and they're not too happy! :rotfl:
They're both just about done with their 25 items for the gift box swap. I have a few more rats to go. :earsgirl:
I have to get out pirate outfits ready. Time is flying by. I can't wait to see you all as pirates, maidens, wenches, govenor and wife.
Now I have to re-load my laptop with all my programs that were deleted before. It's getting late, so I'll just get it started.
Ni!
Aisling, make copies!
I have copies of my stuff in three computers and burned on disc! It's the ONLY reason I didn't totally FREAK when the kids pc died.
Yes!!! I am totally excited about my trip!
but since its just me going, I kinda downplay it here so noone gets mad at me :duck:
My kids had the same issues when they went to catholic school...I made a point to show them all the days the public school kids were in and they weren't because it was a high holy day :rolleyes:
Now that they've done public high school, they have a taste of both sides of that coin ;)
I haven't started my door signs/magnets yet :confused3
Mom, do you want to try your hand at that?
I'll make them if you want, just thought I'd offer.
Tig & Aisling: Please confirm our WOD trip date. Is it Saturday, November 26th OR Sunday, November 27th? Mom wants us to go to a Rugters game with her on the 26th. If that is WOD date, then we'll just have to postpone our football game date!!! :cheer2: Please advise, thanks.
