Did you get right in line and wait or did you wander the terminal for a while?

I thought that would be a good, specific, place to gather before we embark

When we got to the terminal there wasn't anyone there. Mostly everyone was aboard the ship already. Our flight didn't leave Phila until 10 am. We went right to the check in it took about 15 min & went straight to the Disney Magic.

The weather these last few days has been awesome. I've put about 200 miles on my Trike.

It's Father Casey, but after all these years, I graduated to calling him by his name.

The shrimp and cabbage...is that an Asian dish?

LOL No, it's just a concoction...he likes shrimp and he likes cabbage, so voila! When I first served him the mix, he said "what kind of Irishman do ya think I am, puttin' shrimp on that lovely cabbage!" But he loved it! He's a riot.

Jill, wowee! You're not fooling around! That's great you're enjoying your trike like that. Do you ride solo, or maybe you belong to a trike club?? Maybe you can post a pic of you on your trike, please o please! Tig, get out your camera!

That seating area is a good place to meet. If Grim is staying at the Hyatt, I think I'm going to be meeting him and his princess that morning on the bus. OMG this is so exciting, I can't wait!!!
Tig, when do you go on vaca? I know it's soon.

Disneyland!

We got DL AP's while we were there this week - just in case my Sister and her family go in October for my Niece’s bday. I talked to her today, and they are going during 'fall break', which is Oct 10th - 14th. Dede has the 10th off and is gonna play hooky for 2 days.

Now, I'm the Disney Geek in the family. My Sisters family loves Disney too, but none of them have been to WDW or on DCL. I'm the one who spends all their spare time on DIS and MiceAge and knows all the tips and tricks. I told my Sister today that she was gonna be disappointed, because the Grand Californian was booked all that week. I checked every travel website I could think of, and it was booked solid!

My Niece calls me back an hour later and says they're booked a the GC! I was like 'NUH UHHHH' and she was like 'UH HUHHHH' My Sister scooped the Disney Geek!

She went to getawaytoday.com. I had been there several times before and hadn’t seen any really good deals. They always offer package deals, and I already have tickets, so I still didn’t think they would have anything worthwhile for us. I checked it out, and they had availability for our dates (Oct 9th-13th) at the GC with the buy 3 nights, get the 4th free special! You can also book room only! It works out to be $186 a night for the GC!

I’m sooo excited – I’ve never stayed at any of the Disney hotels at DL. We went to diner at Napa Rose one night this week and I was very impressed with the hotel.

I guess that’s enough babbling from me….

How much is a one way bus ticket? I had planned on getting a towncar from the Hyatt to the port. It would be fun to ride the Disney bus though!

Well, the party is over, so we need to go to Disneyland....ha ha ha... DH said he'd go, but so did friend and her DS & DD. So it's a momma road trip in the works.

Okay, the party, was SPATASTIC. The girls had a blast, American Girl all over the place. Molly was and still is in heaven. Today is her real bday. They stayed up until 2:30 am, woke at 9am, off to Ihop for (I'm Hungry Order Pancakes) and then dropped them at home by 12:30...then to scrap Mommy & Me class of the Little Mermaid....then dinner with the grandparents, godparents, neighbor"grandparents", Aunties....home and ready for bed....scrapping tomorrow 10am-2pm, on the road to Dland at 4pm. Staying to 3 nights (2 days in the park) home on Wednesday.....

Paul may check in for me, can't be sure....

All the posts in the last day or so look so great....LOVE The pictures....too much fun for us all to have...

OK - I'm a tad lazy. I guess I could have set the trike up with me on it. However, I am not crazy about having my picture taken.

The truck isn't mine. I have a silver/gray whatever, trailblazer. I'm sure my neighbor would appreciate the comp.

You guys are on your own as far as bumping this dis up. Unless they have a free connection somewhere I won't be able to talk to anyone for a week & Tigg & I will be in two different States.

You guys are awesome at talking - so you are in charge. after the 30th.



Check this out - I am sanding & painting in the kitchen.. I took down a board from over the sink and found many things. Toys, socks, a hot rod mag from Sep 1980. An excerpt from a mag about the new show BJ & the Bear. The star was born in NJ. One of the toys was a little pink car with Minnie Mouse in it. Her face was old mouse style & the car had fins. Sure would like to know how old it is. I'll try taking a picture of it.

Nan and Grim, DL again??? What are you, Disney fanatics or something?

Jill, I was wondering where you ride your trike...like in the woods, on dirt roads, on regular roads? It looks like tons of fun. I was on a 4-wheeler once, and it was a little scary, bumping all over the place. But it was fun.

Hold on to that Minnie toy. I'm going to check the Minnie collectors on ebay to see if they know anything about the toy. Hopefully, you have something there!

Grim, I think we're paying $26 each one way for the Disney bus. We were going to rent a car, but heard that the bus really added to the excitement, and the fact that they handle the luggage right from the hotel made it even better.

The bus is a great way to go. There are TV's throughout over the seats. The driver was very personable. There was a person walking around the terminal with a sign for Disney & she escorted us to the bus & like magic they had our luggage handled & took us to the port.

The Trike (in NJ) is considered a motorcycle. In some states you have to get a seperate licence and insurance & take a test for your drivers licence. For once NJ did it right.
