Thanks for the P&PD Tig (and the tech advice....)

Grim good luck on getting the right seller, ya never know with real estate sometimes you get what you ask for, so ASK!!!!

Paul just got me my comfort lunch, Mickey D's. I know bad for the bod, but at times like today I have an appetite for nothing but junk food. French Fries I can always eat. Going to munch and then get ready to leave. It's an hour dirve up we plan on leaving @ 2pm to pick up sis on the way and find parking etc...

Talk to you guys tomorrow,

Nan

p.s. Yes, Tiggie, Molly is excited. Yesterday she started this dancing thankyou to Paul and I for making her Bday's so special each year. We do also make it the time of year to CLEAN up the backyard and house, so it looks like she is the center of the universe (of course she is the center of my universe)

p.s.s. if any of you have a 7-11 store around you...they give out free mini slurpies today here in San Jose(for their bday) & name...Molly got hers on the way to summer school this morning :cool1:

::yes:: Nan, some days you just gotta go for comfort :wizard:

Grim, we watch the european desert races too, does that count ;)

 Hi to everybody else lurking out there!!

Good Evening Christmas Cruisers!
Anyone wanna know where I was on Saturday?

Click on the photo of me and the girls at the registration table and it'll take you to allears.net for the whole story :teeth:

Hi everybody...I've become a lurker!
It's just the same...breakfast, Jack to daycare, Hailey to her AM activity, on to ball game (SOOOOOOOOOOOOO hot today--my CALVES were sweating! I don't think my calves have ever sweat!), lunch, workout, shower, putter, supper, ball game, hand w/ the neighbors..collapse...
But am I having fun! Been pretty chatty here!
Isn't December here, yet??!! Naw, got lots on agenda before that!
Nan--so sweet that you do such neat bday parties--I am notorious about blowing it off! One year our schedule was so nuts, I offered Marcus $100 to not have a party since scheduling was a nightmare! (he accepted!)
Hailey had a spa party at a local salon when she turned 5--I didn't want something so lavish at 5, but it was only $100 for 8 girls to have hair & nails done! (we are talking wedding hair, and fancy polish--Hailey's were ladybugs)
Last year we had a tea party, and slumber party this year. Marcus had slumber party last year, but is having it at Laser Quest Friday (here we are, late again!) Actually I like Laser Quest, and intend to participate!
Well, I am trying to get this darn house cleaned out, but it is slow going!
Bye!
Kris

Did you click ON the picture?

It's a link to Deb Wills' allears (Disney) site.

My Brittany's birthday will be spent on the beaches of NC again this year, we were there for it last year too.

It'll be the first full day of vacation for us so I'm not sure what we'll do for her.

I want to surprise her with a mini-party at the house. I'll take the cake and frosting and some party favors, we'll go grocery shopping the night before and I can get what perishable stuff I need then. Last year her 16th kinda went by without notice so I wanna do it up for her this year.

Our house has four bedrooms, a pool, a hot tub and a game room with a pool table in it. There will be us four adults, at least 8 teenagers and two dogs...so we'll have quite a house full.

Only three more weeks!

Just so you all know tho, we have no internet at the beach-we'll be DISless from July 30 to August 13th.

Don't miss me too much ;)

Hi Gang,

Jesse and Chad switched bedrooms, and in the moving, we did something to the cable wires, and had no internet until today. The guy came and set Chad back up, but nothing in my or Jesse's bedroom yet. So I'm sitting on Chad's bed with my laptop on my lap, routed into his modem.

Tig, so glad you went to the DisMeet. I can't wait to hear about it. I guess there must be posts about it on the CB maybe? I have't looked around yet, since this board was my first stop.

Nan, :wizard: to mom and to your family. :grouphug:

Grim, I can just picture you and Dede trying to sleep with that poor dog barking all night. It made me laugh (sorry! :rotfl: ) because of a funny movie I saw once where the couple was going crazy because of a barking dog. The guy tried to stick a shoe in his ear...I guess you had to be there! :rotfl2: But at least your problem is solved.

just saying hi....I'll check back later and fill you all in on the appt at UCSF. Been really swapped with work and kids.

Nan

I think we've all been a bunch of busy cruisers, hardly any postings lately!

Chad has me on wireless internet now on my laptop, but it keeps going on and off. I put my pc in Jesse's room, so we'll see how this whole wireless thing works out. It cost almost $200 for the modems and wires, whatever they are I really don't know, so it better work! :badpc:

Tig, I knew you were going to the Meet, but I didn't know you were one of the higher-ups!! (The photo of you at the registration table! ;) ) I would love to meet Majestic one of these days, preferrably at the WL he loves so much. I know it's a whole year away, but if I can, I want to go to the next one.

Did any of you besides me get a message from Tori??
Tori...yoo hoo :wave2: Come talk to us here. We'd love to meet you and your family during the cruise.

I was at K-Mart today, and I noticed that the summer clothes/accessories are on sale already, and they're starting to put out schoool clothes. Is it just me, or does this seem a bit early?? I was going to wait until the end of summer clearance to get my cruise wear, but will there be anything left at the REAL end of summer? The days are going by way too fast for me now. I better start saving for the cruise, 6 months behind schedule, but I DO have my cruise jug. :rotfl: I should have a solid $400 in Disney Rewards Dollars by then, which will help a lot.

Jill, any news with your skating?

Mom's going to Nationals around June 23rd-Go Mom! :cheer2:

August, for me, is the best time to hit the clearance racks.

I'm Meet Director next year...but :ssst: you one of two people besides Majestic who now know this...you and the 70,000 other people that could quite possible visit this thread ;)

:worship: Thank you Chad :worship:

It's been waaaay too quit roun these parts, pirate: me thinks all the Christmas Cruisers be quite the busy bees of late...

Well, last year I bought all new clothes for the cruise. I used only 1/2 of them. I guess I am still good to go.

Yes, Nationals, at least the day I skate, is only 20 days away. I will check in on the 2nd.

Because of money being a little tight we had cancelled our trip to D'World (Grandson & GF & Granddaughter).
I have been hemming & hawing about D'World. I really still want to go there for a couple of days. especially since I have the annual pass for that & PI. I had already cancelled SOG. Welllllllllll, I found a place under Hotel-Guides.us for $39 a night (w/pool) called Masters Inn Orlando Kissimmee. The picture wasn't bad of the room & the place. The reviews were ok. So-why not.

I guess I'll go to Epcot & Animal Kingdom & of course Pleasure Island. I mainly want to check out that retirement community @ Lake Shore Landing.

We are going to Pensacola for Nationals. Some of the places that others have booked arn't open. Dennis was bad. I'm staying at LaQuinta. They said the first floor had some flooding but they are going to honor my ressie.

You know I never really paid much attention to scrapbooking. Then I saw you guys really go on about it. A young skaters mother was putting one together at the rink today & I just couldn't believe all of the little what-nots can be put in one. Wow

Thanks Tig.

Jill

I'm Meet Director next year...
Congratulations, Tiggie! You're a natural leader and an excellent organizer, so I know it'll be even bigger and bettter next year. Definitely something to look forward to. :goodvibes

I found a place under Hotel-Guides.us for $39 a night (w/pool) called Masters Inn Orlando Kissimmee.
Now that's a price I could woo hoo over. No excuse not to go to WDW, eh? Get your money's worth out of that AP of yours, and come back and tell us all about it. No real vaca for us until the cruise (my Kentucky monastery trip with Fr. Casey was cancelled because of lack of funds), so I get my fix through those trip reports. Casey said we can try for the fall, but I don't think it's going to happen until after the cruise.

A little while ago I took a drive around the park because I couldn't sleep, and I saw the circus trucks coming into the park. I called the kids and asked them if they wanted to come down and watch the tents go up, and they said no! What duds!

Jill, how's your little kitty cat doing?? :cat:

Hey Aisling:

I think I just missed you last night..I went to bed kinda late.

That stinks that you two had to cancel your vacation. I'm sure you will find something else to do together tho.

Looky what I got from a threadkiller today...

Paradise point and a "bushwacker" is on my must do list!

The view is spectacular, there's plenty to do...the food menu looks good and the bushwacker is a local beverage that looks like a milkshake and has FIVE different liquors in it!

http://paradisepointtramway.com/index.html

Tig, I've seen photos of the Paradise Point tram, and it looks like a good inexpensive little excursion. I haven't looked over my tentative excursion plans in a while, and now you sparked me into it again. There are so many details to consider. I know for sure that we don't want to do beach days on both St. T and St. M., but want to do more sightseeing. But is there anything to sightsee besides shops? Now the real research begins. This is so fun. I was excited because Mel brought home the War of the World DVD, and The Fantastic Four, and they were going to be my dates for tonight, but now I think I'd rather get back into my excursion stuff and watch the DVDs another time.

I'm goin' to Disneyland!

We actually decided not to go. I went to cancel our hotel resevations at the HoJo, and I was 4 hours too late! I thought the cancellation policy was 24 hours, turns out it's 48. So instead of giving them $150 for nothing, we decided to go for a few days.

Should be interesting! :crowded:

Gotta go pack - see you all next week!

grim pirate:

Hey that Tram looks fun fun fun in the sun sun sun :sunny: I like that idea one day on the beach would work for me too and another day to cruise (ha ha pun intended) around and look at what there is to see. Was this an option that we can book thru Disney or should we do it direct...Tigg, are you looking for some travel agent comission here? you should be!!!! :rotfl2: I have something I got in DLand for you...got you going again didn't I!!!! I'll get it in the mail soon. It is really small so you'll have to be careful when you open the package not to lose it....hee hee hee, I'm such a tormentor....

So, short story (not really) on my mom, she has a type of tumor that can be treated with this very non invasive treatment called a Gamma Knife Radiation. Which is a one time treatment, which would have very slight side effects if any. Basically she would do the treatment in one day and go home and back to normal events. Follow up MRI's every 6 months. That is the good news. The bad news was the tumor is not responsible for her loss of memory and personality changes. That means she has either dementia or Alzheimer’s. To end this long story, I’ll say that we (sis & I & DH) had a major blow up with mom & dad over dinner, to which Lee & I left dinner and haven’t spoken with my parents since. Background….there are 4 daughters only 2 of us participate in caring for our parents, but our parents want to believe & have made very vocal comments to us (Lee & I the care givers) that we all “equally” take care of them. It was really the last straw on the camels back(s). So Lee and I decided that the other 2 sisters can put in the time and effort that we have been making for the last 2 years (since my father’s original ICU illness and recovery) and we can have a break. I feel a great deal of guilt over not making myself available to attend to my parents with their doctors visits, medication, and their living situation (they live in No. Cal, very mountain terrain with snow and need to get back to the San Jose area), but I’ve also given so much of my time and energy (and I’ve also burdened Paul with helping me with them) and that had to stop. So, for now, I’m worried but not actively sticking my nose into their everyday lives and we’ll see if the other sisters can come up the plate and serve that function as we have done for so many months. Enough…this could go on all night, and I’m sure you all don’t really want to hear it….

Into the house to vegg infront of the tv and eat some pizza!!!

TTFN,

Nan

Nan, all I can say is

I wanna be a travel agent but I want it to include so much more. I can handle wedding planning, travel planning, any personal service in direct relation to travling...one day you may see the creation of my very own company ;)

 Aisling-St Maarten has Island Drive and explorer cruise. Drive the coast, then ride the Explorer pleasure boat to Marigot, french capital shopping, then to phillipsburg for more shopping

 grim-cool dilemma! Have a great time at DL!
