The picture is great. (and the fireworks looked nice too) ha ha, :rotfl2: I wish I had bought that shirt for DH now of course. :Pinkbounc

For some weird reason they did the 4th on the 3rd here last year too? Whatever, more fireworks I guess better than fewer.

Tigg:

You're links are missing????? I wanted to show Molly the pictures of everyone...please put them back right away. :)

Thank you,

From the technically challenged....

The links are there!

I made my change a little easier to find.

I really had too many links in my sig and wanted to add more  so I created a single place to put them.

I'm home, BBQ was good...back to work in the morrow

Nice pic grim, I really need to talk tips and pointers for photography with you mister.

You and your wife are so cute together...Love that Mickey shirt!

Nan: I must leave it to you to put in your profile what best fits you. blabbermouth :rotfl2:

Just kidding...really!

Need to get the little ones out the door for Marcus' game that started 7 min. ago!
Had a lovely evening! YUMMY typical picnic fare, fireworks all night, wine & margaritas--our neighbors are SUCH fun!--and we found out that the view from our deck is AMAZING! We can see virtually every major display in the city! WOW! (we are very far south, so little to see that way; we may have missed a couple to the east) We were STUNNED by the view!
Grim--WOW! COOL photos! Don't you love when you get that elusive great one of you as a couple??!!
Nan/Tig--I'm a bit spoiled w/ my scrapbook storage, having had a store. Admittedly I have seen more beautiful rooms, mine is more about function. I will post pics soon. I do have 2-5' gorgeous 12x12 paper racks that make most of my paper storage simple. Otherwise it is just the carboard magazine holders, wall shelves from Home Depot, and lots of sterlite drawers in various sizes. I own lots of Crop in Style storage items (5 paper sticker binders, Navigator, XXL, 2 paper totes, 2 photo filers...various other paper totes).
To most scrappers, it is obscene! But I kept a lot of stuff when we closed the store. Having to be a consumer is so much harder! I have to really think about everything I buy!
OH, was gonna be a quick post! :rotfl2:
Bye!
Kris
PS Nan--I think I could earn a blabbermouth tag, too!!

I'm absolutely nuts about the Twilight Zone marathon. It comes on during New Year's, too, so I get my twice yearly fix. I'm also a major Star Trek fan, since I was 11 years old. I've been to a few conventions, and met everyone from TOS (The Original Series) except for Chekov. Nimoy is SO intelligent, perfect for the Spock role. And Shatner is an adorable goofball.

Grim, wowee, what a photo of those fireworks! I know nothing about photography, but it's nice to see that we have two photogs in our crew {{{Tig :rose: }}}. Hi Dede, come chat with us! :grouphug:

I've been a bit overwhelmed lately (is that an oxymoron??) with this and that, so I haven't been in the mood for Dising, for shame! But I can't stay away too long without missing you all.

Last night (4th of July) was WILD here. I have to say, the Macy's fireworks were dull compared to previous years, but there was so much shooting off in every neighborhood, it looked like World War III here. And the cops were no where, so people really went nuts. Chad bought a ton of stuff, and at first I wasn't too happy about it, but when I saw the masses of people out in the streets shooting off their own tonage, I figured it was ok. When I was a kid, we shot off bottle rocket, regular firecrackers, waved a few sparklers, and the brave ones did Roman candles. Now, everyone has actual fireworks! I mean the kind that flare up in the sky! They put trash cans in the midle of the street and shot them off, and the cars actually waited for the load to finish without honking for the cans to be removed. It seemed like everyone in NYC was out in the streets last night, having a ball. And then, would you believe, people were out sweeping up the mess. It was scary, though, because we live by tall buildings, and I was scared the foreworks would hit the windows. I know lots of cars were covered with firework debris, but it dodn't look like anything was damaged, only messy. Anyway, that's the madhouse and funhouse of the 4th of July in this part of the woods.

Now I have to run and do a few household things. Just wanted to check in!
BBL :sunny:

I guess they do smell huh? (insert picture of me looking dumb) :confused3

I have to say we had a lameo view of the fireworks and I have to take the blame. Last year we drove home from MIL&FIL place in Los Gatos, 10 miles away in the hills (read too expensive for my lifetime) and we saw this 5 story parking structure that people were looking at the fireworks from, so I suggested that we go there. It was too far away to see anything good. I suppose next year I must brave the crowds and attend one of the dozen shows that are around the bay area. The best one we have is at a place called Shoreline Amphitheatre. Last time we went there (DD was just about 1) the SF Symphony played, it was fab. I guess I'm getting old and can't stand lines anywhere but Dland.

DH is home I must go place my request for Chinese food with him, a far cray from the Bbque of last night.

BBL,

Nan

what is BUMPING? :confused3
Bumping is...

If you ever visit the main forum, everything shows on the pages that are most recent...

well, after some time-like overnight, our "thread" will get so old it'll be on the second or third page of the forum-

in order to keep us "on the first page" we bump, or post on the thread to bring it back up to the front.

comprende das mi amiga?

Just put the in-laws on a plane
Grim, I had to laugh when I read this!

Well, I have some good Ebay news to share...Chad sold his Soprano DVDs for $250 "Buy Now". I am so psyched, I've been looking around the house for things to sell! I have tickets to the TV show The View for July 14th, and I wish I could have put them up, but that's a big no no! So Tig, and all of you who were thinking of selling on ebay, go for it. I'm going to go through Jesse's sneakers, because he has so many pairs that he's hardly ever worn, and now the sneakers are too small. I really spoiled his by buying the expensive "kicks", and then he wears them once or twice and leaves them in his closet, wearing the one favorite pair everyday. When I was a kid, we couldn't afford expensive clothes or shoes, s I went a little crazy with my kids. But I've learned my lesson. And I've heard that shoes/sneakers sell well on ebay, especially kids items. We'll see! :rotfl2:

Mel's leaving tomorrow for tennis camp, and he's trying to squeeze all his stuff into a Nike tote. He won't use the suitcase because it has Mickey on it! ::MickeyMo He's going with a bunch of friends, so he should be able to take their bit of ribbing, but he says no way. Well, another wife and I decided to play a little trick, and she's going to put a stuffed bunny in her hubbys tennis bag without him knowing. Imagine when they get on the court and Mr. Bunny falls out when the guy takes out his racket!

Oh big news, I almost forgot. I read on the cruise board about having your eyelashes dyed, which I never heard about before. Well, my eyelashes are light, and I don't like to wear mascara, so I checked into it, and there's a place right here that does it for $30. So wish me luck that I don't go blind. :3dglasses One good thing, if my eyelashes fall out, I have 5 months for them to grow back in for the cruise!

BBL :sunny:

gotcha....I just saved the page to favorites and refresh and hit the last page to find us....I tend to snoop in the other pages only so often...but now that I have a new word I'll bump next time.... :cool1:

Needlesstosay...not much going on here....yawn....

Nan

Aisling....good luck...makes me kinda scared to think of that...but I understand the desire.

We have about 5 boxes of the kids clothes (that I had to buy for the same reason as you) to sell on ebay. I have to make it a priority and do it. Lots of April Cornell dresses, they can go for 30-40 each and that adds up fast....

I have my men turn off your ears question to pose to the rest of the PPC how about bikini waxing???? Any of you have advice....perhaps we should discuss details off line....pm me if you want to join in that email string and I'll reply with my real email address (this one goes to my yahoo address)...

Men turn your ears back on now

la la la, we said nothing, we saw nothing, we are doing nothing.....

Nan

I wish you luck with the lash dying

I wish Mel and his buddy luck with the bunny planting

I have so many totes, of all shapes and sizes...NO ONE uses my Mickey 'cept Me!

I hadn't even thought of putting the kidz stuff out there on Ebay, good idea

I'll most likely wind up with a table at the local flea market this weekend, some of my stuff is too heavy or bulky to Ebay it away.

Poor Nan :bored: are you bored?

Well, get on board and DIS with me!

I think I will email you my waxing thoughts...don't wanna scare our speedo wearers away again ;)

Did you decide what to do about and when to do your next DLand trip yet?

not sure on Dland.... I just looked at the credit card on line and nearly fell over. I need to get some billing out to my clients so I'll have $$$ to pay my cc bill. I forgot I shopped at America Girl for Molly's bday and that last Disney extravaganza (the shopping and the trip)

Also, we have the San Jose Grand Prix that next weekend. Paul thinks we'd be too wiped out...but it's summer vacation we're supposed to be wiped out.... :rotfl2:

Gotta take dinner to a friend...her little guy (5) had his tonsils out today...we are bringing dinner and :grouphug: to the family.

BBL,

Nan

It's nice to dream anyway...

and sometimes we have to admit to ourselves when enough is enough.

That's so sweet of you to help your neighbor like that.

I'm sure I'll be around when you get back.

My Brittany has American girl...

that stuff is pricey but it's very nice stuff.

We still have everything we bought her, she's had Josefina since they first introduced her waaaaay back when.
