:faint:OMG!!! I gotta start packing!!!!!!!!

:laughing:

Actually, I'll combine my August vacation packing with my December vacation packing.

~~~
I like to do laundry on vacations...it's my "alone time"...you guys will understand the pleasure of a quiet hotel laundry room when your kids are older. I've learned to take alone time whereever I can, no kid is really interested in going to do laundry ;)
I've met very nice people in Disney laundry rooms, I've read my Disney Magazine in peace, and I've taken strolls on the grounds while the washer/dryers are running.
and when I get home...it only has to be given to their respective owners and put away.
~~~

Nan, How many loads of laundry have you done since you got home...really?

Kris, I've taken my children many many places; zoos, beaches, theme parks...if I waited for my husband to go with me my children would be hermits :rotfl2:

no, not really that bad...but close;)

John loves his family and friends, but is absolutely horrible with strangers-at our last house, it took him a year to meet the neighbors.

I haven't had my hair cut yet...

I can never bring myself to pay so much for a haircut when hair tie's are so much cheaper :rolleyes:

I promise, before we cruise-maybe on the cruise-no, before the cruise, I will begin my pampering and get my hair done.

Aisling: As close as we live to you, and as much as I try to travel,

I have never visited Ellis Island or the Statue of Liberty or the Empire State building :confused3

I HAVE been to Radio City twice!

The first time was with my sis and friend, my friend and I were more interested in drinking our way around the city. We spent all of five minutes in RC before we wound up at a tequila bar around the corner.

The second time was with Brittany and Stefanie's eight grade class. I saw the WHOLE show that day ;)

ok, Tigg is Paul sneaking you emails telling you that he is doing laundry? You totally caught me, I don't do it actually he does (I think I told you that a while back didn't I?) I really just meant that we (in the royal sense) had to wash clothes during our trip since we (again in the royal sense) don't have enough (undies) to wear for 15+ days.

Tigg, nice pics, I've got to get my head in gear and learn how to create an account at the bucket.

Started my special K diet of sorts today. Which consisted of half cup of coffee(which should not be pointed out except that I load it with cream and sugar) SK (no milk) for breakfast with side of strawberries, 1/2 rice bowl w/ veggies & white chicken for lunch and dinner of pork chop, rice and carrots. I suppose it was more than the 1K calories that you are supposed to stop at for a diet, but at least it was a start, huh? Also, I swam 2 laps last night, didn't go to the pool tonight, did that scrap class. It was ok, I should have taken pictures with me, as I couldn't finish the pages/book since stuff needs to be ontop of pics (Kris, ya got me here?) Well I'm starving and must go find a big glass of water to help me...of course I just saw a M&M commerical arrrggghhhh chocolate.....

btw, I have 2 suitcases unpacked, only 3 to go yeah!!!!!

:wave2: nite nite

Nan

Expected to run errands...Jack woke up w/ stiff neck. Watching him closely...can't decide if he just slept wrong (seems unusual for a child), or fear of meningitis. One minute he says his head hurts, the next not. No fever (but I gave him ibuprofen to loosen up the neck...), he's eating, lights don't bother him....probably gonna call the doc soon. I don't want to take him in for an extremely painful test if it's not necessary...of course, it would be worse to wait too long...Kinda waiting until meds wear off, to see.
Tig--is that a hint about Photobucket??!! :rolleyes: I'll get working on it!
I do take the kids to a lot of activities w/ and w/o Dan. My mom likes to go, too. And w/ 3, it is so much easier w/ 2 adults. Especially at large zoos, even more so when large bodies of water are involved!
Nan--food plan sounds healthy & doable. (have a couple of M & Ms, too!)
I know about the scrap class. This Creating Keepsakes University is Albums--we will finish TWO in 3 days!WOO HOO! Trying to figure out what pics I need.
One is a "My fav things" album, and the other I got to choose is "A Week in the Life" album--documenting a "typical" week in my life. I'm excited! Gotta get the house cleaned out, garage sale done (spending $ for Provo!), then I can concentrate on what I need to do for CKU. I am doing a couple swaps, too, so have pages to finish for that...
Better go check on Jack. It's probably nothing, but level of concern is raised..
Having a mom who is a nurse has its advantages!
Have a wonderful day!
Kris

Tig, my kids are going crazy after seeing your pictures of the ******* crew! Bad kids!! :rotfl:

And yes, it counts that you have at lease something in a suitcase for the cruise. Nan, yours doesn't count! :rotfl2: You have to take the stuff OUT first and THEN put it back in!

Isn't photobucket great?? I just need to upload more pictures. Chad has a new digital camera, so if he feels like being a good boy, I'll have him take some shots around the house of us being silly, and upload them tonight. Mel has a tournament tonight, so maybe we can catch him in his tennis shorties before he runs out the door!

Kris, about Jack's neck, Iremember when Jesse was 6 or 7 he woke up with a stiff neck, and I immediately called the doctor. As soon as I mentioned "stiff neck", he said, don't worry, he probably doesn't have meningitis, because he wouldn't be able to put his chin down towards his chest." He didn't have meningitis, but I understand your worry. I think we moms all go through the same things. :grouphug:

This may sound selfish, but have any of you ever wished for a weekend alone, to have hubby and kids gone from Friday night to Sunday afternoon? I would really miss them if it were longer than that, but I'd love to be able to sleep until I naturally wake up in the morning. That hasn't happened since the day I got married! :bride:

Tomorrow...TGIF, this week went so fast.

Off to mail my father's olives!

BBL :angel:

Off to mail my father's olives!

Yay!!! :rotfl2: His idea worked huh?

I miss my kids...

Last night I told John how nice it is around the house the last few days. It's amazing how much less picking up I have to do ;)

but I miss them...I tried to call to see when they'll be home. Supposedly tonight-they have a concert to go to on Saturday, so I at least know they'll be home by then.

This is what this cruise is for...

~You and I and all the PPC members MUST relax, pamper, live and enjoy~

The kids and hubby's will be so busy playing that we should be able to relax together, right?

I'm glad the boyz liked my pictures...

:cool:

John and I thoroughly enjoyed the meet and greet...we've watched this crew for alotta years now and weren't about to miss this opportunity.

YOU are why I chose photobucket!

I went to a couple photo sites that I have saved from my friends and went in and tried to access them...

Photobucket gave me the quickest, easiest and cheapest access with the most options of all of them.

and Yes Kristin! That was a hint :)

It's REAL easy to use...and have I mentioned, it's FREE!!!

Aisling-one more question for you...

I see Jesse come on AIM all the time, do you not use your AIM?

tell him I like his sound when he signs on and off too...I can always tell it's him without even looking. AIM tells me everytime someone signs on and off, some have a telltale sound.

My son, Adrian, just called...

They won't be home til tomorrow evening...I figured as much :blush:

I am sooooo enjoying the quiet and at the same time I miss them terribly :hug:

I guess my weaning of them has begun :confused3

In three more weeks, my Mom will have them in Florida for another vacation.

Lucky Ducks!

Tig, would you believe I've never used AIM and don't even know how. Chad's sitting right next to me right now...he's going to show me what to do. He's says I'm going to look like an a** because it's so simple.

Well, I think Jack is OK...but it is amazing that even a 4 year old can start milking it after a while!!! (But, Mommy, you let me eat in the living room this morning!)
Huge trip to Walmart. Hate that store, but no crowds during the week, and darn it, they are cheaper! I prefer Hyvee & Target, but they are huge corporations, too, so I guess what is the difference??!! We have a couple of wonderful small grocery stores in town, but so not convenient for regular trips.
Checked a bunch of stuff off my list, though--cool! Including a manicure/pedi next week! We have an Oriental-owned "sweat shop" (we call it that...not really sure how accurate that description is.... :confused3 ) that charges $20 pedi/$10 manicure. But nails last ONE day! Beauty school in town is having a special this month--$8 each!!!! Mom's looked really good, so thought I'd treat myself! (maybe twice this month!) We also have a massage school nearby that offers $25--50 min. massages!!! I may need a couple of those this summer, too!!!!
Finally nice here today & tomorrow. Cool, to the zoo! :banana:
Well, suppose I should try photobucket!
Bye! :wave:
Kris
PS I am PROUD to say that I have NOT begun packing!!!!!! ::yes::

I might have to take a trip to Nebraska just for the $25 massage!!!

I'm going to start a travelsite w/ Lincoln as a budget spa destination!.... princess:
All I need to do is convert the basement bedroom into lodgings...provide transportation...
WAIT! I'd have to give up my scrapbook room. NOT gonna happen! :earboy2:
Kris

Kris: Hope Jack is feeling better. I never realized that something was worse than being sick yourself, until I had my babies. I wish you lots of P & PD :wizard: for a quick recovery.

I forgot I owe a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MARCUS :bday: Sorry I'm so slow on this. I meant to do it that day and then got caught up in nonsense as usual. The big 10 Yahoo!!! We call that the double digit in our clan. It will be a biggie for mine. Of course I go way overboard for bday's so it will be hard to make it even bigger.

Speaking of planning bdays....we went to Libby Lu and got lots of loot for the spa slumber party. http://www.clublibbylu.com/ SHould be fun, I need to get working on the invites today to get them out and off my list....

Gotta get dressed, pick up the kids (Paul let me snooze while he took them to school) and go to the pool.

Have a good day,

Nan

I am a *L*oser.... I just read the posts for the day and didn't see mine....I forgot to submit....fortunately, I was able to back button and find it was still there in all it's 8+ hour old glory.

Glad Jack is all better.

The pool was great. We're off to a play at our local Bookstore, Hicklebees, The Play...Little Mermaid....I'll detail ya later.

Bye,

Nan

Thanks for all your wishes for Marcus! Just booked his party at the local Laser Quest. A bit late...for some reason June was a slim budget month! (oh, yes, that would be Dan's summer spending $ slush fund....!)
WELL I DID IT! And oh, my gosh, it was SOOOO easy! THANK YOU TIG!
I posted pics at photobucket.com.
Search: Kristinsalbum
Then you can see my sweet family...in several pics! :grouphug:
The cool thing is that I have been meaning to email cruise pics to our tablemates, and putting that off, too...so that is done, too! Cool!
It seems you could print, but they would be awfully large...NOT that any of you would want to print, but I did send pics of our tablemates from our cruise of themselves that they probably would want to print!
(Don't get me wrong, if you WANT to print, go ahead...but I'm sure I will be looking SOOO much better by Dec., after my Extreme Makeover... :earboy2: )
RIGHT! :rolleyes:
Well, since I am in a computer rut...going to put NJ pics on CD, load some fonts....wow! I consider myself a very average computer user, but I feel so competent right now! (Don't worry, it won't last! :crazy: )
Bye!

and then I read this post

:rotfl2:

You funny~

Kris, finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I'll be able to spot you at the terminal! Its going to be so cool, a bunch of yelping girls, giggling, jumping up and down, hugging...that's what I'll be doing for sure!

You're so cute! You look like a girly girl, not the cowgirl I thought you were hanging out playing poker and chigging beers! Your family is beautiful, too!

Where are you, I see you're logged on. C'mon and chat, this is fun! :hyper2:
