Hi - I hope this meassage gets to all of you because I have never done this before. This is Nan's husband. She asked me to post this message to let you all know that they are at DL having fun as I write this. The limo picked them up on Wed. morning - at 5:00 am. The kids never saw that there were bags packed. When we woke them Wednesay day morning, they were in a bit of a fog but they were excitied to hear that there was a big "cat-dog" car in our driveway (That's what they call limos - I don't know why.) Nan asked them - do want to get in and go fro a ride - they said yes. Once in the limo, she asked, "Where do you think it's going?" Molly replied, "the mall!" So they all decided the limo was taking them to the mall to go shopping at 5:00 am. Nanette said that Wilson actually guessed where they were going right away, but she didn't let on. Then they definately figured it out when they got to the airport. When I hear more about their adventures, I'll post again.

- Paul
Yay!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Paul :wave:

I have the biggest smile on my face right now ... it is sooo cool what you guys did for your kids :teeth:

I was just thinking how quiet it is here without your Nan.

:wave2:

I'm griping that no one has posted, and you are here, Tig! (plus Nan's DH!)
Fourth looks like a weekend of festivities. We head to Dan's aunt & uncles the 2nd or 3rd. His cousin's BIL owns fireworks stands, so we shoot off enough that even the children start dozing off before it is over! Normally we do this on the 4th, but thought Sunday would be better since his other cousin must be back in KC Tues. morn for patients.
So looks like the 4th at home for the first time in YEARS. The neighbors will be in town, Mom is coming over, and we have one of the best vantage points in town to see all the major displays. Should be ALOT of fun! :goodvibes
OK, NOW I'm going to get productive!
Bye! :wave2:
Kris
PS I am already looking into cruises for Oct. 2005...found one on RCI out of Galveston for $499/7 nts! Plus it goes to Key West & Grand Cayman which we haven't seem yet....I am shooting for an annual cruise!!!!

:wave:

Hi Kristin...
:sunny:Happy Day eh?

Our kids have a concert to go to on the 2nd...we'll most likely BBQ at home or at my Sis' house.

Our local fireworks are always the week after the fourth. The town gets a bigger turnout cause everyone's back from their holiday by then.

My FIL's friend has front row seats (from his porch) for the fireworks this year. Czasy (pronounced chussy) is also our old neighbor, so DH and I will get to hang out with some old friends there as well. We haven't lived there in 8 years now.

Your 4th/following week sounds terrific, too!
Spending time w/ family (luckily I like most of them a lot!) & friends and traveling are my two fav activities! We always have a blast at DH's Mom's house; had a tremendous time in Stone Harbor last year w/ them all--really looking forward to this cruise! Plus to meet & hang w/ all my new friends! Cool!
Oh, I meant Oct. 2006 for that cruise--I don't think I can take 2 in 2 months!
At least my bank account can't!
Oh, yes, I was going to get productive...
Kris

I have to process payroll early cause of the holiday...

I'm supposed to be working on that :confused3 :earboy2:

This cruise, most likely, will be our only cruise...

Hubby's a true landlubber. He gets god awful sick on boats.

My girlfriend Rose comes up with most of our vacation plans and has us planned out for the next 3 years :blush: :cloud9:

Rose and I have talked about driving the California coast, visiting DL while there.

Fall 2006 is supposed to be the four adults going to NC-Outerbanx, sans children, they'll all be in college by then. Rose and my son are 19 and our daughters will be 17 this July.

SC has a place called Edisto Island, the first place my family ever vacationed with Rose's family...you'll be meeting Rose's daughter btw, she is my DDs best friend and is coming on this cruise with us. Her photo is in my Who's going link....we would like to get back there in the next couple of years.

My BIL asked when my side of the family is going back to WDW/FL, I told him we'll shoot for 2007.

So another cruise for us isn't in the foreseeable future---because of that, I plan on enjoying this opportunity to it's fullest and still relax while doing it.

:boat:

Only 26 more weeks...:dancer:

~~~
For those who may see us in WDW after the cruise, Rose will be there waiting for us when we dock. She's coming to FL to spend NYE with her daughter and my daughter, my mom and me.
Me Too!
:grouphug: :cloud9: :moped:
Do you ever plan on going back to Stone Harbor?
It's fairly close to my home and I'd be interested in hanging out there with you if you ever make it back.
Aisling:
Do you ever visit the Jersey Shore-Seaside Heights or further south?
Couple loads of laundry...picked up Marcus & friend, McD's for lunch (salad at home for me--see, I'm trying!). Loaded Microsoft Office, copied some pics...not much else. Dan took younger 2 to see the Shark boy movie...continues to be HOT here.
Would LOVE to go to Stone Harbor again. BIL & family go for a week or 2 every year. We went last year because we were supposed to go on Disney cruise Xmas 2003, but was sold out before MIL decided to book; then they turned 2004 into 10 day so since it was pushed to 2005, BIL suggested that MIL rent house at Stone Harbor & we all go. It was SOOO great! We even enjoyed the drive 3 days each way! We seriously are considering going again. Won't be able to afford as nice a house as we had...but maybe we could share one w/ BIL.
Fun busy social day. My aunt & uncle are in town so will head to Mom & Dad's to socialize for awhile. My mom is 60, uncle 70 & their sis is 78. But they all love to travel & have a good time. I said they all seem about 10 years younger than they really are! I'm glad I come from such good genes!
Then FAC w/ girlfriends, then either a bit of poker or Mom & I may take kids to her hometown (30 min.away) for a street dance tonight w/ current fav band. But supposed to have bad storms tonight, so that is up in the air yet.
I am gonna have to limit my stops at the computer to once a day, or this could become a very time-consuming habit!
Bye! :wave:
I hear ya about the time-consuming bit...
No matter how long I sit at my PC I always want more :rolleyes:
3 Days!!!!!! :earseek: Wow!
Not for me thank you...that's a loooong ride. I guess you like long car rides?
My kids and FIL are going to be away this weekend!
I just now realized that :blush:
Hubby and I will only have Sunday tho, he works for a swimming pool company and that seems to be the only day I see him on any given week during the summer.
No plans for me...maybe I'll spackel my son's room so we can put it back together.
We started with simply replacing the rug and it's turned into an all out remodel :confused3
but of course being a normal 19yo, he's never home to make his project move forward so it'll be my turn up there this weekend.
I don't mind, it's good exercise and I can finally get his kay-rap out of my photo room.
~cj~
Had a nice eve of socializing! Just checking in before my workout...AND being productive today!
Have a great weekend everyone! (PS Where is everyone??!! It has been a bit slow the last couple days!)
Kristin
Hello out there, We are getting a little nervous. As you know DW
is not yet a citizen and we are still waiting on her Alien Card. We have talked
with immigration but it's pretty much wait, wait, wait. We DO NOT want to miss
the cruise, we would be devasted. But, in real life I guess I need a back up plan.
I called SOG yesterday and was not surprised to hear that December is packed
and even the waiting list is closed. I need to fill in the dates Dec 23-30th. They
did give me some overflow rates for a few resorts. So, I guess I will get a ressie
just in case the cruise is scrapped. She could hear today or she could hear a
year from today. So, I will cover my bases, and hope for some good luck! :crazy: :earsgirl: :smooth: :bounce:
That would be so unfair! And to put you through this stress....
I think if we ALL send good thoughts, things will work out!
Kris
I just wrote out a whole long post, and then I got screen freeze! So let's try this again, fast, so I can run and eat!
Very briefly:
Franco, it'll work out, it will. You and your family WILL be on that cruise with us. I just have a good feeling about it for you and yours.
Kris, you social butterfly you! More comments to follow later!
Tig, I'm up for a meet in Oct!
Paul, please post again soon!
BBL with my full post rewritten, and then some!! :wave2:
Ok, I'm back. :sunny:
Home alone tonight. Tig, aren't your kids gone for the weekend?
I just rented Panic Room, the suspense movie with Jodie Foster (I love that girl!), and planned on watching it tonight, but I'm waiting for the Geraldo Rivera show to start on FoxNews to see the latest on the Natalee Hollaway events. I'll save the DVD for tomorrow. The goings-on in Aruba are getting stranger by the day, now with the father being held and, the team of searchers arriving from the Texas with cadaver dogs.
The girl's mom was smart going to the suspect's home with a smile on her face and a prayer bracelet in hand. I was thinking what's wrong with this woman. But she knew exactly what she was doing, and that was to get herself seated at their kitchen table, talking over coffee, pretending not to be angry at them, yet getting info from them. She walked out of there with loads of info for the authorities, nothing concrete, but enough for her to be able to say the authorities know what happened but are waiting for the boy to crack into a confession. Ok, enough about that.
Anyone here love the Twilight Zone? The marathon is coming up July 4th, and I can't wait. I also watch it on New Year's Eve every year. This will be the first time in 6 years that we're home for the 4th of July...we're usually in Orlando! ;) But we have a very expensive bank-robbing poorhouse-in-our-future cruise coming up, and we have to save for it! I'm haven't made any payments on the cruise, will "pay in full" on my Disney Visa, but expect to pay the whole thing off when that first Visa bill comes. So that means I have to start putting money into my vacation savings account to be able to have my Visa paid off before we leave. I'm feeling it because I planned on putting money aside 6 months ago, but I didn't. Now I have to double up. That's ok, I'll do anything to go on this cruise!
Kris, take a rest, girl! You're having enough fun for two people! Good for you, live it up and have a blast this summer. As if I need to tell you that! :rotfl:
I have the music from Spectromagic playing, I miss WDW so much!!! :sad1:
Hi!
The kids are gone til Thursday :)
I'm doing home projects to save me from going out and going shopping.
I moved my PC to the livingroom-DISing should be a little easier to do now that it's not in Dadz room.
I started spackeling my boyz room so we can get it painted. I'm already about a third done.
It's soooo much easier to get things done when no-one is home :cloud9:
I saw Panic Room...Pretty good flick :)
I'm so sick of the news lately I have Nick on ;)
I also have three new movies to watch...
Shark Tales, Mystic River and Farenheit 911 (from Netflix)
Love the Twilight Zone...
I've probably seen all of them, including the movies.
I have the Tapestry CD...
Spectromagic is on my list of must have's...I think about getting it and then forget to look while I'm there :confused3...maybe next trip.
Disney has a wedding cd (advertised in the Disney Mag) that's all instrumentals. That's on my list too ;)
My turn to be talkative again...;)
I'm headed into the shower...
but guess what? I'll be Back!!!
Here you are home alone...so much solitude to be productive or just relax..and you just keep posting here!! :rotfl:
I actually have begun cleaning things out! It feels SOOOOO good to purge those things one keeps hanging onto...yet years later you finally realize, OK, not gonna ever use it again!
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO off to clean out some more! :Pinkbounc
(I know, that makes me a little goofy that I actually enjoy this process!)
Now, I admit--DDs room is a bit daunting! 2 years ago I never got to it before the garage sale...last year I realized it was absolutely necessary. Took me an entire day just to do her room! My neighbor went to Wallyworld and got some nice, yet inexpensive, white bins to organize with. I have been using a mishmash of any container available...I think I'm gonna "splurge" and get all matching bins (at $1-2 a piece, I think I can justify it from the $ I make on the garage sale!)
OK, NOW I'm off!
Have a wonderful Sunday!
Tig--enjoy that solitude! (funny, before I had kids, I hated solitude!)
