I was reading that you are a teacher. You had 37 kids in your group. I bless your patience. I work in a maximum security prison. I have done overtime in a juvenile justice facility. Now those kids are a trip. I work in a wing that looks like Alcatraz. There are 134 inmates & two guards. I'd rather work there than with kids any time.

And yet at the skating rink we have a lot of kids there & I get along with them just fine. In fact some of the Moms think I'm as bad as the kids. Go figure.

this may sound wierd, but I love watching documentaries about prisons. The staff seem so cool and unflustered; it's amazing. The inmates all have these movie-of-the-week life stories. Just something about the whole prison system interests me, how organized it is, so safe and dangerous at the same time. Since you're retired military, I"m sure you know how to give and take orders, and you've probably learned to be a tough cookie! My kinda girl!
And what's happening with your skating? I thought you were a recreational skater, but it looks like you're in competitions??

pixie dust to you as you have the teatment on your leg. May I ask if it's related to your military disability? And have a relaxing time at Foxwoods. What a great guy you are to your mom and DW!
You mentioned that you almost have your cruise paid off. Good for you! I haven't even begun, except for the $1000 deposit! I first have to pay off my plasma tv! I cannot wait for those tax refund checks to get here!

what's up with you, girl?? All these trips to WDW!! I can't take it anymore, the first thing I'm going to do when the cruise is over is book the Poly for a week! I don't know how I'm going to pay for it, and I don't care!!

how are your children? Better, I hope. We've been pretty lucky this winter with hardly anything but sniffles. Is your DH in the Navy? My brother, sis-in-law, and nephew are Air Force, and my two BILs are retired USAF and Navy.

Yeh, I like those documentaries also. I like to watch CSI Las Vegas best. Yes the military helped. Also, I tended bar off & on for 8 years. That is a big help.

Skating, yes I do compete. A couple of years ago I made it to Nationals & won a bronze medal. No, I don't do jumps & spins; however, I do dance & figures. I practice at least 4X's a week.

I had to move up to a tougher level. I hope to make to make Nationals this year. If so, I will incorporate it with a WDW trip. It will be at Pensacola, Fl this year. I was stationed there, got married there & Tig's sister was born there.

I also wish I could say the trip is paid off. I'm working on it.

No Aisling, the leg is not part of my disabilities, that in fact is just to much combat (50plus missions,Purple Heart, Bronze Star for Valor) Just to much combat for an 18 year old kid. No matter what war we are talking about the young take the beating. Yes, what a great family I have!! Taking care of my mom they are a blessing I could not do it alone! And yes DW needs a little R&R! And we are almost at the 300 day mark, lets keep on rolling!!!

DH(42) and I(38) are both teachers in Nebraska. He teaches 7th grade Social Studies in a middle school that is a close to "innercity" as Lincoln gets. But he has been there for 19 years...I teach fifth grade at a very middle class, small school. I brought our children with me to my school this year as I believe that small classes, and high expectations help our children excel.
DH loves sports, and golfing especially. I love scrapbooking, though little time as I pursue my Master's degree in Math. Will be done summer of 2006. A grant is paying for many teachers to do this, so the monetary incentive helps my motivation! We both love traveling. We were married in Las Vegas, and visit often. Now w/ our first cruise under our belt, we are ready for more!
DS1 is 9, loves math, PS2 and sports and depises writing. DD is 6 and loves school, friends and dance. DS1 is 4, ornery and loves animals. They are all soooooo excited about this cruise. MIL's original plan was Xmas of '03, but the cruise was sold out before she decided to book. So TA was on high alert for '04, but then they turned it into the 10 day cruise, and family members who own businesses didn't feel they could be gone that long. SOOOOO these poor children have been told about this for the last year and a half!!!! There will be FIL/MIL and DH's step brother in one of the 2 bedroon suites, I think. Then there will be 5 families in family suites--thanks to the 2 of us w/ 3 kids!
MIL has always been generous at Xmas, but I did the math on this one, and frankly this should cover Xmas for about 10 years!!!!! NOT complaining!
OK, I'm babbling...

Most of my trips are supplemented by other people...
Mom has been paying for the SOG rooms, my friend Rose has timeshares everywhere (which brings down the cost of a place to stay immensly!) This upcoming trip only cost me $22 total for the room, I got airfare for $165 and I just bought my park passes-4 days for $197.03. No family to take-no extra mouths to feed and I get to choose what I buy for souvenirs without the family helping me spend my cash.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna do it. It will be a great surprise for my wife (gee, hope she doesn't read this!). I especially like the pre-booked Palo reservation. This way we can sleep in a bit the morning of the cruise and not worry about getting them. Palo was definately one of the highlights of our last cruise - we did both bruch and dinner - outstanding!
