Franco, I'm sending get-well-soon pixie dust :wizard: your way!
Hope Daniel has a great time at the game tonight. If it's televised, you can bet my DH will ne watching it!

OMG Tig, you just posted your 7 day itinerary as I was typing this. I'm going to read it right now!

Hi 3x, Jill, Lynn, Grim, and lurkers! :wave2:

:love2: :teacher:
Not Bad. I think I like it. :worship:

The only thing I will probably do different is I love having breakfast at the buffet. They make some mean omelets. Then, I go out on deck with a book & eat & relax. Usually, I have to do it this way cause I get up toooo early. :duck:

:bday: That's for Adrian. Does he still use minutes for his phone?

Hi Aisling :wave2: (& everybody else)

:wizard: Pixie dust for you Franco. Today was my first day back at the rink after having pneumonia. It felt great to feel good.

Jill :moped: :cat:

tiggerwannabe: you will need a vacation after your vacation. :sunny:

We will swing by SOG. We have wanted to see what it looks like. Every time we decide to try it, my sister offers her BCV points. How can we say no.

tiggerwannabe: you will need a vacation after your vacation.
Keep in mind, I listed everything off the navigators that interested me, I have no intention of making it to everything on the itinerary ;)

;) Esp the days I listed more than one excursion, around Sept/Oct I'll ask my family to choose their excursions so I can have them booked and paid for before the trip.

JIC: Have your military id when you go. or Walk from the Polynesian...if you try to drive in , the guard will stop you...if you walk over-no one bothers you;)

I like the idea of having danish, bagels or cereal and coffee delivered for the cost of a good tip. This way I know my girls will eat (when they eventually wake up each morning) and I can have my coffee every morning before I try to venture out :sunny:

and Yes Mom, AJ still uses the phone you gave him. He would gladly accept more minutes for it:)
Will you be over for cake tomorrow night?

OMG Tig, you just posted your 7 day itinerary as I was typing this. I'm going to read it right now!

:smooth: so how'd I do? :teeth:

Curiosity Time!

Aisling-may I ask, what does DH do for a living :groom:
3X-What is your name? I have everybody's name-even your sister Tanya-and I still do not know yours

Tig, DH is a CAD-CAM engineer (Computer Aided Design-Computer Aided Manufacturing) for a small metalurgical company here in NYC. He does a lot of work for the military, designing and manufacturing chassis, circuit boards, etc. to house the electronic components. Once there was a visiting Arab royal person, and Mel had to design a protective casing to hold the jewels! Then his company manufactured it! It was so cool! He woeks a lot, because he really loves his job. He's a techie, way different from me the daydreamer!

I only work part-time; I'm a music therapist at a nursing home, and 99% of the residents have dementia or some kind of brain injuries. It's very rewarding for me, especially when I can help bring them out of their shells by using music to connect to their memories. On Wednesdays, I teach 4th grade catechism in a Catholic school, which I love. I don't make much money doing these things, and I could really use more money, so when Jesse gets to high school, I'm going to try to increase my hours for my music program. We'll see, I have 2 more years before then.

Oh, Happy Birthday to AJ! How old is he now?

And Kandice, ditto Tig, nice to meet you!

Wow, thats one intinary! Of course, this is not a real one is it? Holey Moley? Lots of great things there. I don't know how much DW and myself will be doing. We will try for Palo's dinner, brunch, high tea along with our regular dining rotation. Excursion wise, other than Castaway Cay, maybe just some walks on St. Maarten,St. Thomas. We will let the boys pick an excursion they would like to do age appropiate. Leonardo will do something with the other teens I am sure and its anybody's guess what Danny Boy will do. Since this is our first cruise, I think we DW and myself will do more ship than anything else. DW is from a SMALL Brazilian town and is not eager to see such things on the islands, even though we have no clue of what they really are like, maybe just some walks for us. I am going a different way on where we are staying the night before, we will be doing the motel6, only because we will not land until 2:20 p.m. and by the time we get our car and get down there it makes no sense to me to pay for things we will not use. Explanation: I am not tight with a dollar, just the opposite. If it were up to DW her purse strings would be alot tighter! Bless her heart, but that is not me. I have ressies with Budget for the day before the cruise, will leave it at port, and then have one ready for us after the cruise to shuffle off to SOG until the 4th of January. A minimeet at the terminal says great, sort of get our feet wet with everyone! Sounds like a great first cruise!!! :earsgirl: :smooth: :bounce:

I am honored to meet all of you... :flower3:

the techie & the daydreamer!
~IMO an excellent match- down to earth ideals mixed with great imagination~

Oh, Happy Birthday to AJ! How old is he now?
My first born's birthday is tomorrow, he was born on Ground Hogs Day...He's 19! :cake:

Of course, this is not a real itinerary is it?
As real as it can be til we get there :hourglass :teeth:

I think we DW and myself will do more ship than anything else
I've read that that's the best way to get your money's worth on a cruise;)

Sounds like a great first cruise!!!
:) I couldn't agree more :) :boat:

It was really funny me marching back to the line saying 'well I can't see anyone I've been talking to on the boards and I haven't found Jim with his Fish picture and the guys cracking up cos they'd been talking for 30 mins.

As for the non posters Bonnie (Grumpy's Mum), Dawn and Jim are all still sailing that's our group of 13 from Xmas 2003. We had a few more but unfortunately other commitments got in the way.

It just goes to show it's not the size of the man, but the size of his fish!

I haven't had much time to post here, but will try to do better.

My girls just convinced me to book three nights in WDW from 12/20 - 12/23 (last night in Melbourne with DW's brother) so can't wait for the Mickey Xmas party and cookies with Lynn and DH.

LOL! :rotfl:

:wave2:

Welcome back Jim!

Yeah, ok, blame the kids ;)

last night in Melbourne with DW's brother-
we'll just miss you in Melbourne. DHs Aunt & Uncle live in Melbourne. Three of our group are staying there from the 22nd-23rd. I can't wait to see it. It'll be my first time at their house since they moved in about a year ago :sunny:

so can't wait for the Mickey Xmas party and cookies with Lynn and DH.
I know Lynn and her DH gp home right after the cruise, are you and your family staying before and not after?

Hi Gang,

Can you believe February is here already? I'm starting to panic...only 10 1/2 months to go and I'm hardly packed :rotfl:

Did you see my posts about wanting to be the first to board the ship? I'll save you all spaces on line, so we can woo hoo together going through the gangway! Let's pray that it's a nice sunny warm day that day, because I've been reading some TRs that say December 24th is a bit on the cool side at the port.

Tig and Jill,
Chad says it's too bad AJ isn't coming; he'd like a guy his age to hang out with.

I'm happy to see that the fish man has found his way back to us! :wave2:

Yes, so near & so far away. Last night after AJ's BD party Tig & I talked about the trip for about 2 hours.

I see fish man also goes on Three Circles dis board. It's funny he's been on a cruise with our disers & we went on a the hurricane cruise with his disers.

Jill

It's funny, but I can't wait to meet a bunch of "strangers". It's like I will get to see friends that I haven't seen for a long time. :flower:

Kandice that's just how I felt in 2003 I must say my DH was a little anxious about the people I might have landed us with on our special trip,( we all hear such strange tales about people in internet chat rooms!!!LOL) but hey he met his new best buddy and now we are visiting each others homes and that's from across the ocean!!!

3xthecharm, Jill,Tig, Grim, fish man, Lynn, Franco, lurkers :grouphug:

I was thinking of posting a paper on one of our cabin doors for any DISers to "sign in". It would be a nice addition to my scrapbook.

We are on deck 5 so I think we're pretty accesible. I think I'll check with DH first.

3x, I was thinking of doing the same thing. In fact, I already made a sign-in sheet on Print Artist, and got a special pen to hang from the sign. But then I thought, with all the kids roaming around, they'd probably scribble all over it and maybe write something I wouldn't want to read! I might just do it, anyway!

Hi gang :flower:

Things on the door is a great idea. If they are big enough the kids seem to leave them alone.

One of our group made things for our group to put on the door. Some one took the little cute ones. The big signs were left on the door.

Tig wants to make something also. Maybe you guys could put your heads together & get a theme going.

Jill :moped: :cat:
