Nan, it just sunk in that we're going to meet at AKL!! I love that place, stayed there last summer, savannah view, and it was wonderful.

Aisling & Tig: Flemington is right down the street. Shopping? Sure! Just to let you know I am booked with theater obligations from now until the end of October. Yup every weekend is taken - stinks, but I love it.

Grim: Now I am going to have "badger badger badger badger badger" playing over and over in my head all day.

Deck Party - port or starboard? Won't be able to move the the Promenade - we have early seating. But as Tig reminded us, no pressure. There will be other opportunities!!!

I Love it! It's like you've been here the whole time!
Well, I guess vaca is officially over
We really just have the weekend
I know, I know, wah, wah, wah...I just had 11 weeks, so I should GET OVER IT!
I'm kinda ready...mostly because we seem to spend summers broke! I guess being home all day it's easy to spend, spend, spend! And eat, eat, eat. More time to exercise, though!
We had a poker game w/ friends at our house last night! Late--2AM! But really fun! I'm not sure the guys really loved having 2 wives in on it, especially since I did pretty well... Definitely fun! We played all sorts of crazy games...not just typical, but like 7 card stud w/ all these goofy additions...Q of hearts gets half the pot, Q of spades can kill the game at any time...WEIRD. But I got used to it, and had fun!
Well, think it's going to be agreeable & be hot today, so think we might get that last blast at the pool in after all!

Today we are going to try to head up the road to Blackhawk...a closed gated community very out of our price range, they have a classic car museum and since it is Concourse de Elegance @ Peable Beach (also too pricey @ $125 per ticket per day) this weekend they have opened the museum for free. (darn looked it up and Monday is the free day) okay well maybe we are headed to SF...we signed up for a dumb timeshare deal at the SJ Grand PRix...free trip to Hawaii to sit and listen for 90 minutes...hmmmm, those deals are never what they seem are they...so I'm just not sure of what we're gonna do...

I'm called to breakfast...Paul made pancakes yum.

When Mom PM'd Aisling I thought for sure it was to change us from the Rad to AKL---how much different was the price Mama? Are you keeping your car at the Rad? He retires next month and is headed to Melbourne Beach FL in late October to stay with her for a while.

Nationals. First let me explain. The last time I went to Nationals & skated I medaled. Because of that I had to move up to a higher division.

I am pleased with what I got. There were 32 skaters I placed 15th & one judge even gave me a 9th. I'm glad I didn't place because I would have had to stay an extra 5 days & that would have gone into my other vacation time & I might not have enough to go on the cruise & I would rather CRUISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

My parents said that we have gone up to deck 10 about a half hour early...right after we finish the safety drill we take our life jackets back to the room and go find a chair and tables. But my parents also said that on Deck 9 the chairs and tables fill up faster and on Deck 10 theres almost always chairs available. Well I hope that was helpful! Wish we were coming in a day early!
Tig..kicked some bootie! Everybody puts in $20 to start...dealer's choice on game...from blackjack to Texas Hold 'Em to 7 card stud w/ conditions to sh*t on your neighbor! Dan & I held our own...think we ended up about $55 up! WAY better than we have done in a casino for some time!
TIRED! Hit the pool w/ tired kids...not the wisest idea! Hailey has been bawling at EVERYTHING for the last couple of weeks, and basically bawled the whole time at the pool! Driving me nuts! (not that I'M tired or anything...)
Maybe a nap is in order...bro & family & Mom & Dad coming over to grill out for Mom&Dad's 40th...big celebration, as you can see!

Anyway - I talked to the same girl Aisling did, and the best she could do was $261 including tax. I told her my friend got $189, and she got all excited - "I knew it was you! I could tell by the dates!"

So, she said, I was right, Aisling did get $189 but $261 is as low as the computer would quote. She put me on hold for a while and tried to get the $189 with no luck. She couldn't explain why you got it and I couldn't. The only thing that I can figure is that you are checking a day earlier than me, so the 'holiday' season doesn't start until the 23rd (you get the same rate for the entire length of your stay, which is the rate for the first day).

I booked it anyway. With the outrageous tax and resort fees, it's only like $60 more than the Hyatt.

Hey, that reminds me - she didn't offer Magical Express - I wonder if you have to be staying more than one night for that? If so, I'll probly cancel and stick with the Hyatt (or maybe Ron Jon or Radisson).

Ugh.
