Christmas Crowds at Sea World?

My family (DH, DD11, DS8 and DS6) will be visiting my MIL the week after Christmas. We'd like to visit a theme park for just one day. While I'd love to visit the Magic Kingdom, I know the crowds are insane that week.

Comparably, how are the crowds at Sea World? I know they'll probably also be crowded, but can anyone tell me if we'll get to do enough to make it worthwhile? For reference, our two family visits to Disney have both been in June, so it was pretty busy for both of those visits. We usually go and plug away for the entire day, so we'd be willing to stay until the park closes.

Thanks!

It will be crowded that week, but nothing compared to what you have experienced at Disney. Plus, you will still get all the extra Christmas shows that day you go. All the Christmas extras are included with park admission. The park will be open until 11:00pm so you get a lot of time to do the whole park. Plan your day around the shows to make it easier, and don't jump from one side of the park to the other. Try and do everything in one location before moving on to somewhere else. Be prepared to get to the Shamu show an hour early for the best seat, and all other shows atleast 45 minutes early. I went to Seaworld on December 30th last year and the dolphin show was filled to capacity 30 minutes before show time. If you plan your day out, it won't be so bad.

Everything KBF said is right on. I would also add though that O Wondrous Night is extremely popular so arrive very early to get a good seat there. Crowds are no where near as bad as Disney. The stadiums hold a lot of people and the park is spread out nicely allowing you to not feel cramped. Look at the show schedule when it comes out ahead of time and plan your day looking at the map so you at least have a little guide of how you want to run the day. We are here for questions. Please ask away

I had this exact question, thank you for asking and thanks for the answers! :)

Our family is also considering doing Busch Gardens Tamps during the week after Christmas... Is that also crazy busy? It looks like they have some fun Christmas stuff!

Nothing is as bad as Disney - but all the parks are bad.BG will be very busy.

We went to Seaworld last night. The Xmas stuff is really nice. It was crowded for Seaworld - basically it was Magic Kingdom on a normal day.

People were lining up 90 minutes before show time last night for that show!

We went to Miracles 10 minutes before show time and found seats one row up from the splash zone.

We must have caught it on an off night. We walked up as they were closing the door. The theater was half full. I did not enjoy the show at all. Saw many people get up and leave during it. Those that did stay did not seem caught up in it.

My husband and I aren't believers and the show looked religious. We will check it out if we have time, but it's not a priority for us.

We are believers and did not find much religion in it. We are much more traditional-this was very "Whoopi Goldberg-Sister Act" with puppets and a few live animals.
