Hi
I'm not very artsy crafty
but I figured I came to the right place--HUGS
I am wondering if there is some type of "Disney themed Christmas decorations" I could make ?.We will be taking a small Christmas tree (2-3 feet)with us in Dec and I have a table skirt and tree skirt --some Mickey and Minnie lights but no decorations.
Any thoughts and ideas are greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Hugs Mel

How about taking three pompoms (2 small, 1 large) and hot glue them into the traditional Mickey head shape?

Wow ---:thumbsup2 --yes Telynn--you Rock --thank-you

You're welcome!

I was just thinking you could do bells, berries---anything round!

I ran over to the store and they have some really cool pom poms --threads of gold and silver running through the poms.

I have some old bells that I'm not sure what I'm saving them for so that is another option,,I work at a school so I've accumalated alot of "special junk".
Well I'm off to Michaels tomorrow to plan.
Thanks

I saw this book you can buy online...or maybe you can find it at your library or something

Disney's Christmas Crafts for kids ...by Marge Kennedy...

I'm gonna keep googling it cause I'd like to make some decorations/crafts for our room as well since we'll be there from 12/23/08-1/1/09:cheer2: :grouphug:

I took the Disney tie ons and cut the strings and hot glued them on, also the Disney key chains ( remove the clip ) antenna toppers, mini bows. (by the way I hot glued everything on the tree ) beaded garland :)

Here a couple pic (not great ones) from a tree I made from Dec 06

How COOL! I'm going to have to make some now! (Would be a cute pendant for a Christmas necklace--if can find smaller bells, we could do earrings too!

Can't wait to see the pom pom Mickeys!

These are awesome I am going to give them a try myself. How about we keep this thread going with any kind of craft ideas for Christmas including maybe some that your kids could work on. I am not very creative myself and could really use all the help I could get. But i just needed to ring in and let you know just how cute these are :worship: :worship: :worship:

I made some last week and my sons loved the smell in the house -they kept asking are you sure we can't eat those..

Cinnamon Dough Ornaments:
3/4 cup cinnamon (bought at dollar store).
1/2 cup applesauce
1/3 cup white glue (school,)
straw (one)

Mix all three ingredients in a bowl,,consistency should be like that of playdough.
Using hands to mix and flatten small portions then using cookie cutters to cut out shapes.
Using the straw to make a small hole in the shape for ribbon insertion later.
Allow to air dry on some wax paper or cookie racks -or dry in an oven at 150-200 degrees.
I made Mickey Heads ,Trees, Mini Gingerbread kids, Bells, and Stars.

I'll try to post pics later
