We are going!!!! Dec. 22-29th staying at Bonnet Creek. Not really doing the full Disney park tour BUT because of short notice on this trip and the first time during Christmas--what and when: is mandatory to see while we are there? we are limited to 1 maybe 2 days at a park and it will be AK and/or MK but not really sure so we need some guidance on what to choose. Kids are 8(girl) and 12(boy). What is must-see at Downtown Disney during Christmas??

Its Christmas and we will be at Disney, just trying to make the most.

Any and all tips for Christmas???!!

ps. Can we get on the mono-rail if on the days we do not have park passes??? If so, how?

Thanks!!!!

:welcome:

Well certainly I would say that you have to do MK!!

Have you been to Disney before or will you go again? Is your purpose to see Disney or just to enjoy the Christmas decorations and special things? Because if it is the latter then I really recommend Disney Studios and the Osborne Lights as a second park, or Epcot and the Christmas around the World.

Animal Kingdom is a great park, but not much for special Christmas things.

And they do not ask to see a ticket or other ID to ride the monorail so you can ride it. They entrances to it are all outside of the parks. A great free thing to do is ride the monorail around to the Deluxe Resorts (Grand Floridian, Contemporary, and Polynesian) and see the Christmas Decorations at each of them, especially the giant Gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian.

Downtown Disney is not very big so you can see it all in not much time. I think Santa will be down there, but I am guessing the lines will be long so it may not be worth it. Just enjoy the Lego store and the other shops down there and make sure you go into the Christmas store and buy an ornament to remember the trip.

Hey Michi-gan!

I am from Michigan, too...Traverse City! :thumbsup2

AND

We are staying at Bonnet Creek, too...Dec. 24 - Jan. 4!

:santa:

We did Disney about 3 years ago at Spring break in April. yes, the Osbourne lights is something we would like to do.....the mono-rail tour is then on our list to do for sure to see the Resort decorations.

Its actaully a money thing why were limited to one day at just one of the parks.

Ariel70..TC hey...were from Roscommon. Staying in tower 1 at bonnet. I'm also leaning toward MK for our one day but AK still might get the nod...depends on a few unknowns yet.

Thanks Bob....go Blue!!

We are trying to pick that 1 day where MK is going to be the least busiest, X-day is out, we just want to see experience x-mas at MK! Wre thinking the 26th!?!
