I'm traveling to Disneyland Paris on November 11th, which is the start of the Christmas celebrations. The crowd calendar suggests that weekend will be really busy but the hotel availability when I booked seemed pretty good.

Is the start of the Christmas celebrations here a big thing? And does that mean I need to do more planning than I normally would when visiting Disneyworld during a quiet season?

Also, any tips on making the most of magic hours would be appreciated.

The weekends during the Christmas season are always busy as you get a lot of local people visiting to see the decorations as well as large groups/parties. We went that weekend a few years ago for my daughter's birthday and it was ok on the Friday but Saturday it was heaving.

If you are staying on site definitely make the most of EMH and try and be in by 8.00 if you can as by 9.00 its getting busier and they usually let non EMH guests onto mainstreet by 9 which makes it busier as well. Make a choice whether you are going to use EMH to see characters or do rides as you probably won't get chance for both

How about the Sunday? Is that going to be any quieter?

I'm not a huge fan of the character meets and greets, so I'll definitely be doing rides. I'm thinking Pirates and Space Mountain during magic hours, and then head over to Disney Studios for Crush's Coaster as soon as that opens.

If I remember I think the Sunday got quieter later in the afternoon but Im talking about quite a few years ago - the weekdays are definitely quieter.

Pirates isn't open for EMH - its some rides in Discoveryland and Fantasyland - off the top of my head I think its usually

Space Mountain
Orbitron
Buzz
Castle (upstairs and dungeon)
Tea Cups
Peter Pan
Snow White or Pinocchio
Carrousel
Dumbo
Occasionally Small World if something else is closed
