Christmas Celebration or a weekday?

Trying to decide which day to go to Seaworld. Options are:

Saturday - the Christmas celebration activities will be going on and the park is open till 10:00. However, we would not get to the park until around 2:00 that afternoon.

or

Monday - a regular day where the park closes at 5:30. We would arrive fairly close to park opening and have all day.

The tickets are cheaper to go on Monday and I'm thinking won't be as crowded. However, the Christmas stuff is only on the weekend so trying to weigh whether that is worth going on the Saturday for.

Any thoughts and opinions are most welcome!

This is my first year going for the holidays. However....I've heard the holiday shows (especially Miracles and O Wondrous Night) are amazing! So I would go over the weekend

It really depends on what you want to do. Do you want to experience more of the Christmas atmosphere that they are offering on weekend evenings?

Or do you want to experience SeaWorld as a whole? Go on the Monday.

If you can manage and want to do both, I would suggest going as early as possible on Saturday to experience more of the 'best of both worlds'

Having experienced it now, I will echo this! I've gone all 3 weekends so far, and it is amazing at SeaWorld for Christmas! Such a fun time

I realize this post is from early December, but I wanted to share our recent experience.


We went on Friday as part of a field trip. Because of that, we did not enter the parks until 11:15. (It should have been 12, but our class had been cancelled but they honored our group entry.). We did not get to accomplish everything not did we try.

We only saw the ice skating holiday show and we loved it. But I heard wonderful things about the others. And the Christmas village looked nice and the food and drink sounded yummy (but we were on our way out and did not partake).

We thought the crowds on a Friday night were fantastic. Only one show (I forget the title but it was the story of Christmas) really required lining up very early (maybe an hour) but none of the others did.

As we were only going one day as part of a field trip, I am glad they chose a day when the Christmas activity was occurring. It was well worth it.

That would be O Wondrous Night (and yes, you need to line up VERY early for that one). Elmo's Christmas Wish also requires lining up early (but I haven't seen that one yet)

We spent the day at SeaWorld yesterday, and if you have the chance to visit during their Christmas celebration...DO IT!

The shows, the decor, the whole "feel" of the park is simply magical. Oh Wondrous Night was so spectacular, it had the crowd on their feet at the end. I was absolutely blown away.

Best place we could have ever spent the holiday. Crowds were so light in the morning, they weren't even using the Quick Queue line at Polar Express. So awesome!
