What are your favorite carols? I wish to know the history of some of these favorite carols? Are there movies based on their history?

one of my all time favorite christmas songs is have yourself a merry little christmas.
the original is sung by judy garland and is in the movie meet me in st. louis which is one of my all time favorite movies.
the writer of the song initially wrote even sadder words for it and judy refused to sing it until he made it a little less sad.
for example the line "have yourself a merry little christmas, may your heart be light, next year all our troubles will be out of sight" originally went "have yourself a merry little christmas, it may be your last, next year we may be living in the past".
