I know Im a little late, or very early, but I had a brainstorm this morning. We are going to WDW in August and then again for Christmas. I would like to get a good picture of the kids with Santa Mickey ears/hat to make our Christmas Cards from. As silly as it will look in August, Im thinking of trying this in front of the Castle and again with Mickey. Does anyone have any other "Disney" ideas of where we should try to take our "Christmas Picture"?

There is a statue of Goofy in front of the Community Hall in MK. Our kids crawled on that and it became our Christmas card, with the message, "Have a Magical Day" printed on it.

Don't get yourself in too much of a tizzy over where you want your picture to be. For the past two years, my best intentions have been squashed by bad photos, too far away, scaffolding, etc. When you see the picture you like the best, you'll know it... whether it is with the ear hats or not.

A funny WDW Christmas card story... my friend went last May and took a great picture of the family in front of the castle, but the Walt and Mickey statue. She had more than 100 cards made and when they got back, she realized that she forgot to have the photo cropped. On the side of the picture, next to the writing, so it couldn't be cut off, was a man who looked like Neuman from Seinfeld, and his wife. I told her that it would be funny to sign their 4 names, and add "Neuman and his wife" to the card. She went out and had a different card made with only the kids on it. She sent me a copy of the "bad" card and signed it with their names, Neuman and his wife. The guy really did look like Neuman.

Don't know if it's still there....at Downtown Disney there was a group of winter statues...Goofy and Mickey, or you could try the lego area. Also, the winter theme mini-golf.

In 2000, we did a pic with the Grinch at Universal for ours. Don't forget to get close, so you won't have a "Neuman" in your photo...some places won't crop for photo-cards.

Katie--Also at the BIG Christmas store in Downtown Disney. They have murals/window displays on the outside as well. I bet you could get some good shots of your handsome boys.

Rats--I wish I had thought of doing this.

Thanks for the ideas. They are all great! And ROFL, RUDisney!

I had another idea...the Mickey shaped flower bed in front of the MK. I guess what Im looking for is a picture that people can tell is from WDW. Unlike us Disers who can do a "where in the world" of a top of a pole and figure it out, Im sure a lot of people arent familiar with everything there. I should just keep the hats on the kids for the whole trip and keep taking pictures, LOL! So, if anyone is going the last week in August and sees a crazy family wearing Christmas hats, thats us. :teeth:

Just wanted to say that when we went to WDW and on the Wonder Cruise in June/July 2000, we bought the regular Mickey Mouse ears and had our photos taken in the Ears and our wwimming suits on Castaway Cay with the Wonder ship in the background. The cards turned out great.
