We are leaving on Sunday for our trip and I just thought about doing a Christmas card while we are there. Those of you that have done this---do you have your kids dressed up all day to get a good picture or do you just kind of wing it with whatever typical vacation outfit they might be wearing at the time. Just curious --- I could have them change for dinner and then try for pic. but it will probably be to dark out. Just don;t want them dressed up all day. I had also thought about red fleece pullovers that they could take off if it got to hot.

We are going to the very merry Christmas Party during our 12/2-12/10 trip. I plan on taking our picture there since everyone will have a Disney Christmas shirt on. I guess we'll take lots of pics and see which is best.

We just used a picture with our girls in their regular vacation clothes standing in front of the castle. It's what they look like...and they are cute. Our printed note says "Have a magical holiday!". I wanted the Disney cards...but my husband thought it was overkill!

FYI - outside of the Christmas store at Downtown Disney (the end by the embroidery shop) there is a little set-up to take holiday pictures. You should go there and have your family pose in that for another option.

I tried getting a picture of our family by the snow scene in MGM, and thought that would be perfect for our picture. When I got back, I was so mad because my oldest ds had a scowl on his face because he didn't want to waste time taking another picture LOL. So, there goes that idea. What I'm going to do is just use one of our regular vacation photopass pictures since we're all wearing matching shirts. I'm using those photo insert cards, and will then decorate the rest of the card to create a Disney masterpiece with my scrapbook supplies.

We've gone to Winter Summerland mini golf, next to Bilzzard Beach. It's all themed on Santa & Christmas and you can choose either the winter scenes or summer scenes. We've done both and they came out really cute. The kids posed with Mickey, snowmen and a "summer" Santa. I had the kids dressed in regular clothing but tried to stay with the red/green colors. As a perk you get to play a round of mini golf! :thumbsup2

Last year, we bought matching Mouseketeer shirts. We were going to pose with our shirts and ears, and use that. Alas, we never got around to it.

This year, DD7 went to MHSSHP as Tinkerbelle. The picture I took of her was beautiful, and Costco offers an incredibly cheap Disney card with your own picture (50 for $15, 25 more for $6), so that's our card. It says "Pixie Dust to you this holiday season."
