Christmas Break Visit..which wk would be less crowded

Need input from the vet's here...

IF you had no choice but to take your family during Xmas break..would you pick the days BEFORE Christmas or the days AFTER Christmas?

Before before before before before.

While "before" Christmas is crowded, "after" Christmas is a whole other level of crowded because many more people are out of work and school and have holiday gift money to spend at DLR. Go before - whether it's a week before, a day before, whatever - just go before!

That was my gut as well. We have been SO MANY times but always off-season. But I have a middle schooler now and taking him out of school and missing school is just NOT an option anymore...and we have been when Xmas decor is up and I KNOW how awesome it is...

I have checked hotels and there ARE openings for the wk before..even at DLResort hotels...

NOW..to convince the husband...thank you for the input.

Typically..what are the park hours the days BEFORE Xmas...they aren't posted yet...

Like, Sat-Thurs before Xmas...

Another vote for BEFORE. The week between Christmas and New Years is THE BUSIEST time of the entire year.

Park Hours should be 8am - 12mid for DL and 10 - 10 for DCA.

Why not Thanksgiving weekend - last year the parks were quite uncrowded *the Sat. was one of the lowest attendance Saturdays of the year - see *this* taken from *here*

We have done all of these over the years, before Christmas, the week between Christmas and New Year's and even Thanksgiving week. I would say before Christmas is probably the least crowded of all these crowded options although I have to agree that Thanksgiving and the day after last year seemed less crowded than we were expecting, even compared to the year before.
