Hello Everyone :)

I am returning to WDW after a 20 yr gap. It will be my 5th visit and my family's 1st visit. The trip over Christmas is a surprise for the kids varying in ages 15 to 9 and I have told them in past conversations about my various trips as a child, though I have learned that a lot had changed and I almost feel as if I am planning a first trip myself. I remember during a Christmas vacation at WDW in '99 on Christmas morning we awoke to a candy filled stocking on our hotel room door at All-Star Music. I thought it was a sweet gesture and was curious if they still do anything special on Christmas morning for resort guests. We will be staying at Art of Animation, I can't wait for the trip, trying to keep the excitement and anticipation that's building up in is becoming difficult.

We are lucky enough to have spent 8 christmases in WDW. We stayed in DVC villas each time, and in reception they always have christmas cookies and lemonade free for guests, Santa Claus visits (Christmas Eve) and also characters in christmas dress (can't remember what days though). I am not sure if it's different in non-DVC resorts. You will have a wonderful time, I am very envious (it's Christmas at home for me this year 😱)
