I had to post my excitement here and I knew y'all would understand! Just got the ok to go to the Fort over Christmas 2016 to celebrate my oldest daughter graduating from high school in 2017. The last two times we have gone to Disney it has been over Christmas but we normally rent a house. This will be our first time staying at the Fort. We just upgraded from a popup to a 29 ft with a slide this summer. I LOVE our new trailer!!! There's so much room! lol Anywho, in my excitement I called up WDW this morning to see how far in advance we could book and they said 490 days. Does this sound right to you? I thought it was 499 days? Not that it makes much difference but for two weeks over Christmas it might. I am sure I will have many more questions as the time gets closer. Just wanted to drop in and say HI!!!! :)

It's okay, phins_jazy. You're among friends here - we understand your excitement. :dogdance:

I know there is some trick to booking Advance Dining Reservations where there is a +10 option (something like 180+10 days). I dunno. As far as making a reservation for the Fort stay, you'll be fine if you wait 10 days more. So no rush. But with a 29' trailer, you will fit on a Full, Preferred, or Premium easily. What type are you going to get and do you have a loop preference at this point?

At least you can buy some Christmas decorations during the 2015 holiday season, maybe pick up some after Christmas Day if they are marked down. Then you'll be ready when 2016 rolls around.

Christmas rocks, spent 2 weeks there dec 15 - 29 and BE is on track.. Plan your day after xmas shopping to score major discounts for decoration, that is if you already dont have a disney tree.. :car: PJ - I see you a vet of the disboards so you are at the right spot. There are tons of us that can help and info already written. If you are getting a golf cart, contact kenny at teetime well in advance. Used several times and they are a 1st class op.. He does a great service for FW campers.

You may also check out costco, around xmas, as I buy their 50' stings for LED lights an use them as year around awning lights for the camper. I picked some up last year that were white, colored and blinkng all on the same strand.. it rocked.. Enjoy your planning, my family and mom were walking down main street at 7:15 Christmas morning, ended up being one of our best days ever in Disney. Who would of thunkedit. rides in morning and sit down shows after lunch at crystal palace. with a few fast passes in afternoon. Then FW- trails end pizza for dinner(best pizza in WDW & Great value) Fried chicken aint to bad either..

Phins_jazy,
Congratulations on the trip and congrats to your daughter. We went in November last year and had a blast with the Christmas stuff.

Do not forget to bring decorations for your site. Lots of inflatables and lights. But...keep to the rules. You can't have decorations more than halfway to your neighbors site or 15 feet away from your pad. No lights on fences and nothing wrapped around the trees. Trust me, I got a visit from the decorations police on mine but they were nice about it.

What kinda site you looking for? Got a loop preference? These guys can help answer any of your questions for you. We like to hear about planning and we really like pictures and reports.

Hope to keep hearing from you

For ADR's you can book 180+ the numbers of days beyond up to 10 depending on how long you are staying. So if you are staying 6 days you can book ADR's 180+6 at your 180 day mark. I'm not quite sure how it works on when you can start booking the 11th day out but I'm sure others here do.

Thanks for the replies. :) we just love disney at Christmas. We took a carriage ride at the fort the last time we were there and just knew we had to make our next stay at the fort! I have lots of Disney decorations already. I have a mickey blow up and a jack blow up that we put a christmas hat on. Lol. I have mickey tacky lights for my awning and a big freestanding mickey lampost already. I am sure I will find more to add. :) as far as loops go, anything but a partial will be fine for me. Preferably a pet loop as I do believe we will bring both our dogs with us. They love to camp as much as we do.
