Christmas all year long!

Hi Ann,

I hope you don't mind me joining your thread. I've been following your story for the past month but haven't posted before (only found this forum a month ago!).

I had to post today to let you know how happy I am for you that your results came back normal :yay:

You truly are an inspiration to all, and I hope that you and your family have the most wonderful trip this Christmas!

:woohoo::woohoo:

I got my test results. I am so glad they all came back NORMAL!!! I am a bit shocked... and even though the doctor was optimistic last week, I think she was surprised too.

I mean... at the start of my appointment last week... she sat in front of me and asked me if I understood the situation and all that was happening to me. It was a sobering moment. Then when part of the tissue "reacted" and looked suspicious, I thought (and I think the doctor did too) that if anything, that would come back in a negative way.

When the results came in, the doc asked the pathologist to take a second look at my first PAP. It is unclear what caused the first diagnosis. Now, I just have to go back in 6 months for a follow up. :dance3: So I won't be needing to worry about how to do surgery and the December trip.

WHAT A RELIEF!!!!!

Oh Ann, I just caught up on your report and am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy to read this! Best news ever! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Ann, this is wonderful news. I am so happy for you. :goodvibes

Thank you. I really was not expecting it to come back completely normal. I still wonder if I heard her correctly.

That's great news!! What a relief!!

It is a relief. I found myself getting more and more anxious about it all week. It is good to be able to move past it now.

Ann - have you considered going out and buying a lottery ticket today? :lmao: A ton of good news, and I am really happy for you! :thumbsup2 And don't feel guilty about the hospital - they did the right thing, so celebrate that you are blessed with a hospital that is interested in doing the right thing for its patients. All of this must be a huge weight off you shoulders - and an anniversary coming up to celebrate (Happy Anniversary early).

:rotfl2: Does buying a $2 scratch ticket and winning $10 count? I know... things are definitely on the up for me now. It has been a rather long year...but no matter what happens...things always tend to work out. I am truly blessed.

And thank you for the early anniversary wishes. Steve and I are celebrating our 22nd anniversary. total years together 24... it amazes me that I have been with him for more than half my life.

Fantastic news, Ann! What a relief. Now you can concentrate on the Disney trip.

Or a sweet weekend with your DH.

Or a short mommy/daughter trip within the next year to use your SW credits.

Yes, I need to focus a bit more on the planning of this trip. I think as much as I would like to take a trip with Steve this weekend, with Zach coming home a week from today... I think I would like to just get things ready for him.

AWESOME news!!!!! I am sorry i havent been around, completely overwhelmed with real life, but i have been reading and catching up and i am very happy to see this news!!!:banana:

I totally understand how life can get overwhelming. I wish it didn't, but it sure does at times, doesn't it. So thank you for popping in to wish me well. It means a lot to me that everyone here is so kind.

So happy to hear your good news!

you and me both!!! :goodvibes

That's really great news about your test results..

Thank you. :goodvibes

Great news Ann. I know that hanging over you had to be weighing you down!

It has been...and now I can focus on more important things....like the trip. :rolleyes1

:woohoo::banana::dance3::banana::woohoo:

WONDERFUL NEWS! I've been praying for you and I'm so happy this weight has been lifted from your shoulders! How awesome to be able to move beyond those worries and also know you are so close to a much needed, well deserved VACAY in a couple of months... heavy on the couple of months but less than three! :goodvibes

I know...strange to think I am under the 3 month mark...but yes...it is really closer to that 3 month than 2. Soon enough though it will be 2. I have to do a count down calendar. I think last trip I made it for 50 days. I better get on it cause 50 will be here soon... I mean... I swear it was 10 + months just a moment ago.

Most of all though, I have to say thank you for the prayers. I believe I had quite a few going that I didn't know about cause... it is really perplexing that this came back as a fluke. This diagnosis only happens like 1% of the time and so often that turns out to be something more serious. For mine to come back fine..completely. It is quite miraculous. As I said to Fred... I am truly blessed.

I am so excited that you posted! :yay: I totally don't mind you joining in. I mean...really there are several more months. I think a lot of PTRs are not even going on that far out before a trip. I just happen to be a bit crazy and started this as soon as I booked our trip.

Thank you so much for the kind words. I am not sure how I inspire, but if I do... I am happy to touch others in a way that does so. I am constantly appreciative of the people on Dis... I am not sure if the love of Disney just breeds a slightly nicer more compassionate person, but I certainly have only come across WONDERFUL people. I can't wait to actually meet some of these people IRL!!!

Oh Ann, I just caught up on your report and am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy to read this! Best news ever! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Thank you, Karin. I am glad you are all caught up... mainly a lot of rambling...but there were a couple serious thoughts or plans in there. ;)

BTW, thank you so much for stopping to think of Zoe and I on your trip. We both were thrilled when the mail came yesterday. :goodvibes

Had to share with you all. As I am planning on outfits for Zoe on the trip, I have been keeping an eye out for various princess dresses. I want her to have something new for BBB... but used is fine for the other days where she will inevitably become very disheveled very early in the day and that pristine look won't matter. (if any of you have looked at the day she wore a sleeping beauty dress on our 9/2010 trip... you will see what I mean)

I found this dress on ebay that I liked a lot.

Not too bad a price either. I have just been on the fence a bit. I have been looking at goodwill and other stores now that the Halloween merchandise is out. A lot of what I am seeing online that looks wonderful..is actually not the best made...and often light weight material.

Today I stopped off at goodwill to see if any new items arrived. Guess what??? The EXACT dress in Zoe's EXACT size was there. It was dirty, and had a couple stains that I was pretty sure could come out but otherwise is PERFECT condition. So for $8.99 I bought it. I washed it and :woohoo: as good as new. I am pretty happy. Now she has a sleeping beauty, and a Cinderella.

I must apologize. I have become very neglectful of this game. So here is today... better late than never.

but just in case a little more detail might help.. this one has it.

So recently I have started looking up stuff on ancestry.com. Kinda interesting. I was expecting to find some insight as to why I am always questioned when it comes to my ethnicity. Sadly, I have not figured anything out. I have found funny things... like my very very proper Catholic grandmother got married to my grandfather (17 years her senior) only 1 month prior to their first childs birth. :rotfl: I have found that my father who was the 9th of 13 comes from a long line of "lots of kids" That line get very big very quick... 13 in his generation... 13 the generation of his father... etc.

And... a shout out to my favorite Austrian, Karin... cause on the immigration records from my mom's dad... it was indeed Austria that was written in as the country of origin. :goodvibes

You and your mom...Labor Day Trip 2010...it was your last day in MK,...tomorrowland Stitches Great escape...Kira sat this one out...celebrating your mom's 71st b-day which happened prior to the trip (but she celebrated all week)...notice all her birthday buttons/stickers, plus the famous 1st visit button...this was before your fateful spin on the tea cups which made your mother not be able to participate the next morning.

Winning $10 on a $2 scratch-off - well, I would think so, as that is better than I ever did.

And it is interesting about the people here on the DIS - we have made some incredible friends here, particularly some that we met up during our last trip - we still correspond with them regularly, and get pictures of their new babies - its almost like we get to be foster grandparents. We all know the bad parts of the internet, but I have had so very many positive experiences that I am so thankful for.

So happy for you Ann! And for the dress for Zoe. It looks beautiful. :thumbsup2 And your trip is getting so close! And the time between now and then is full of so many good things: Halloween, Thanksgiving... packing (am I the only one who enjoys packing for a trip to Disney???) Your trip will be here before you know it.

First off, very glad your test results came back negative! That is such a relief.

Second, that is such a beautiful Cinderella dress! I wish they had these things when I was a kid!

I totally understand your excitement and can relate to the crazy! We just got back from our trip on Sunday, and I already want to book the next trip for next year and get cracking on the planning. Super excited already and we haven't even booked yet :woohoo:

:woohoo: Ann IS part Austrian! :woohoo: :thumbsup2

What a cute dress and how wonderful that it was in Zoe's size! The price rocks too! ;)

Ann - love that dress. You have had such a great week! I am also using Ancestry.com and in fact my father and I will be visiting my grandmother's 95-year-old first cousin this Saturday to delve deeper into our family tree. Pretty excited about that. I am pretty sure we have slaves in our heritage, since my great-great grandfather's last name is the same as his "wife's" maiden name. That usually indicates slavery, since slaves (I think) took the name of their masters.

I am not worthy....

Love the dress!! It's beautiful and I love all the wonderful things happening in your life these days! :goodvibes

And as for the picture - it's you and your mom but Tammie has already said pretty much everything there is and I can't hang with her... :rotfl:

Congrats on the dress! Great bargain too! Congrats on the Austrian thing. We found out recently that my family is all German except for one French Huguenot. My cousin did extensive studies in France during her college years so she was very excited to see French ancestry.

Do you know how long it took me in Ann's last trip report to find her mom dressed in the clothes in the picture?! :rotfl: Watch me be totally wrong on all points! :scared1:

I have to rack up as many points in one time as I can...since most of the time I miss the picture being posted!

Hi Ann,

So happy, relieved and, well, happy! :) That your results came back normal. :yay::yay::yay:

Love the dress for Zoe! and the price :worship: It makes me sad that my DD is WAY too old to do this type of stuff..... would it be completely inappropriate for ME to dress up??? :confused3:rotfl::rotfl::lmao:

You are VEry good and I am Very bad for not scoring until now.

1pt for Me
1pt for my mom
1pt Labor Day Trip 2010
1pt for last day in MK
1pt for all the details of the trip (mom's bday, first visit
1pt for the details on what happened after we rode the tea cups :goodvibes

6 points total.

however, I am pretty sure this isn't Stiches great escape. There is a table and a queue for food service. I am not sure what we were eating since it was at the end of the day. In one of the pictures in the series, Kira was in fact with us. (but yes, she did sit out SGE)

Winning $10 on a $2 scratch-off - well, I would think so, as that is better than I ever did.

I don't really gamble...just a scratch ticket here and there. I am amazed at how often I actually win. It is usually $5 here or there.. maybe a $10 once and a while... and even $25. I never spend more than a couple dollars on a ticket.

And it is interesting about the people here on the DIS - we have made some incredible friends here, particularly some that we met up during our last trip - we still correspond with them regularly, and get pictures of their new babies - its almost like we get to be foster grandparents. I too am very thankful. :goodvibes

Second, that is such a beautiful Cinderella dress! I wish they had these things when I was a kid!

Thanks, it is a relief. And.. I know right? I remember costumes being all home made back when I was a kid. The cost of these while not cheap..is within reach unlike when I was a kid.

I totally understand your excitement and can relate to the crazy! We just got back from our trip on Sunday, and I already want to book the next trip for next year and get cracking on the planning. Super excited already and we haven't even booked yet :woohoo:

I am always thinking a bit a head. The closer this trip gets the more I wonder when I will be returning. It is almost like I have to have a trip planned at all times.

:woohoo: Ann IS part Austrian!

What a cute dress and how wonderful that it was in Zoe's size! The price rocks too! ;)

I thought you would appreciate that. And..the dress is too cute on Zoe. It also isn't scratchy like a lot of costumes can be. It is however long...so we will have to see what day we won't be dealing with rain. (hopefully none) since the bottom would end up all muddy.

The dress you found for Zoe is BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Thank you. :goodvibes

That usually indicates slavery, since slaves (I think) took the name of their masters.

That is interesting regarding the slaves and their names. Funny the stuff we learn in this, eh? How cool though that you will get to go visit your cousin. I was kinda surprised when I found records of my great grandmother. I had always been told that she was full native american. In census records though she is marked as white. Do you think it is possible my great grandfather just marked her as white since he was? Also, her maiden name though was brown...so..that is kinda an odd name for not only a native american, but someone who was white.

Love the dress!! It's beautiful and I love all the wonderful things happening in your life these days! :goodvibes

And as for the picture - it's you and your mom but Tammie has already said pretty much everything there is and I can't hang with her... :rotfl:

Thank you... I too am appreciating how good this week has been. Now if only I could get my house clean...it would be perfect.

Ann, I LOVE the dress. It says Zoe all over it. :goodvibes

I ironed it and had her try it on yesterday... she is so cute in it... I like it better than the sleeping beauty dress.

Congrats on the dress! Great bargain too! Congrats on the Austrian thing. We found out recently that my family is all German except for one French Huguenot. My cousin did extensive studies in France during her college years so she was very excited to see French ancestry.

I do love a bargain.

And...on the Austrian thing... My mom has always said she is Yugoslavian. Now... her brother raised a stink a few years back saying Austrian.... but looking at the records it may actually be a combination. Her dad and his family immigrated from "Austria" in the late 1800s (yes, my grandfather - mom's dad- was born before the turn of the 20th century) However, looking at my grandmothers records, her father put down Slovenia. So who knows... I guess that area has been changing a bit over the last 100 or so years. And... on my father's side, there is SUPPOSE to be French. I have yet to see any record of it..but the last name is a French name..so maybe I won't have to go too far back.

Do you know how long it took me in Ann's last trip report to find her mom dressed in the clothes in the picture?! :rotfl: Watch me be totally wrong on all points! :scared1:

I have to rack up as many points in one time as I can...since most of the time I miss the picture being posted!

You did good. I am just impressed you used my TR from last September as a resource to figure it out. :worship:

Hi Ann,

Thank you, I am relieved that the results are what they are. Kinda confused, but relieved.

As for the dres... I know... I am just glad that I have Zoe to do this with for a little while. Kira was never quite into it...but loves to see Zoe do it. It is too bad we can't dress up..but I think it is against the rules at WDW.
