Christmas all year long!

I can not say enough how much I loved this trip. 2/2009 was by far, my favorite trip. Just the girls and I... it was amazing! One down side though, was that Zoe was a bit sick. You can kinda tell by her rose cheek in this pic. The other down side.. it was cold. I really do hope that we get nice weather in December. I have been to Florida 5 times. 2 of the 5 were so cold that swimming was out of the question for most of the trip. 1 of the 5 was nearly unbearable with the heat. 2 were pretty nice except for a day or so of cold rainy weather. One of those was in November the other in April. What do you think the chances are of having a nice December?

Anyway, so a funny tid bit about this pic. Well, after we were done we went to Raffiki planet watch. Guess who we saw?

I think that Disney usually does a better job with keeping a bit of magic going. Seeing her again.. but it not being her... and within such a short amount of time. (Kira could correct me, but I would have to say within the hour) :confused3

I just started reading your PTR, so I haven't read it all yet, but I thought I would leave a comment anyway!

I have a weakness for Christmas at Disney and I haven't been there at Christmas time in years, so I will live through those of you who are going lol If you are still staying at WL, that is a great choice at Christmastime!!

My DH and I also share a birthday, just like your daughter and SIL! I think that it is really rare, and people always comment on it when I tell them!

Looking forward to reading the rest!

So glad you are here!

Yes, as of right now. :rolleyes: the plan is to stay at WL for the majority of our stay. Pop 2 nights an then WL 11. LOL, just the morning Steve mentioned he would be too tired after a 12 day trip to wait for me at the airport. :rotfl: Somehow this trip has grown to be not the original 7 nights as planned.. and somehow just how far past has squeezed past my dh's noticing.

Yes, dd and her husband were even over due the same amount of time. Both Josh's mom and I were DUE with them on the same day. So very very odd.

Lovely Miss Zoe meeting Ariel at Epcot, World Showcase, Norway, Akershus

Hope our little Miss Sunshine is feeling better today .... and no more worry about allergies for mom!

Thanks Karin. Zoe is doing better today. She is still a bit puffy though.

And... yes, you got all three points! :goodvibes

BTW, what time is it there?

YAY! :woohoo: I like your game, especially winning! :rotfl2:

Oh, and it is 9.23pm here!

:rotfl: yes.. and with that you have pulled into the lead over Kathy.

9pm.. that makes sense. It is noon here. last night when it was midnight you telling me to get rest... it was your morning. I guess my morning routine of getting on Dis is when it is evening for you. Then.. when I go on in the evening.. you are on in the morning. :goodvibes

Hey Ann,

It's been a while since I have been on here. Had to go back a few pages and catch up! :laughing:

So have you finalized your flights now?

There are some great pictures of Zoe :goodvibes Love the Poccohantis pictures... I take it she never saw the difference?

Sorry to here about Zoe's reactions. It is tough seeing them like that. Glad the bendryl helped.... better than spending a day in the hospital. Still praying for her and you. If I am reading correctly surgery would be next week if all goes well.

:scared1: Love Steve's reaction...call mom she knows where everything is instead of looking where it should be! :rotfl: Men...gotta love them! Hope Zoe is doing better today and :wizard: hoping things will go off as planned next week!

As for flights... well, the guys are set. Booked and done... no changing dates now. As for Zoe and I... I am thinking about something... Steve doesn't really give me much input... so I ofcourse will be debating in here shortly. Maybe someone can give me there opinion.

You are correct... surgery (if all goes well) will be next week. I appreciate the prayers. :goodvibes

I know, right? :rotfl2: I was like "look in this medicine cabinet... then this one and then this one and oh, if all else fails go to the medicine bin in the garage" (yes, while I am not as bad as I once was... that coupon show that I still have not watched... yup, I had to buy extra shelves, bins and a freezer for the garage. :rolleyes1)

Yes, next week... little apprehensive.. but it will work out one way or another. :goodvibes

Since my dh would just tell me to do what I want.. or at best tell me he would not have hassled with it as much as I have. I really could use you all as a sounding board.

I keep complaining about airfare... but here is what I am thinking about today regarding it.... SW lowered their fares on the 9th.

Since the guys fly in on the 9th I was thinking that I should try to eventually switch my flight on the 10th to the 9th. Then I got to thinking I like the idea of having the guys enjoy the day (probably sleeping:laughing:) at Pop while they wait for Zoe and I to arrive.

Today though, it hit me... I will be taking Zoe alone plus all of our checked bags. That is 4 bags + 2 carryon + 2 personal + a stroller + Zoe all by myself through to check in. I am not so sure that this is a good idea. I mean, I guess I could get a cart and wheel all of it and Zoe from the curb in. How hard do you think this would be? If the guys were going at the same time then they could haul their own checked through the airport.

Here is what the current scenario is;

1. Drop guys off at the airport the morning of the 9th.
2. Either drive home (roughly and hour) and then either park or have Kira take us in the next morning when we return or stay at a hotel and use their shuttle to the airport (assuming it is running at 4am)
3. Haul everything previously mentioned to check in
4. approx. 6am flight arrive mc approx 5pm (no plane changes)
5. Take DME to Pop and wait for luggage to arrive (guys will have checked in the day before)
6. Have dinner together with the guys

New scenario would be;
1. Change ticket cost add approx $25 total for Zoe and I to fly the 9th instead of the 10th (flight is $10 more than the one already booked)
2. All of us drive to the airport. (either we park or have someone drop us off)
3. Guys take their bags to the SW check in and help Zoe and I get checked in. (their flight is about an hour and a half after ours)
4. We all hang out together until Zoe and I board at approx. 9am
5. approx. 9:30 flight arriving mco approx 9pm (one plane change)
6. Take DME to Pop
7. Zoe and I would checkin at Pop
8. Wait for the luggage and guys to arrive.
9. Possibly go to bed before guys arrive (they arrive approx midnight)

So if you were me...traveling with a 6 year old (well, I guess an almost 7 year old) would it be better to have the guys help get luggage to the check in point or would it be better to not have to change planes and get in earlier in the day (with enough time to have dinner)?

While I know that you could handle it on your own...I like the option of having the guys there to mess with the luggage!

:thumbsup2 Thanks for your 2 cents! I also have to add in t that I am not big on washing laundry while on a trip so we will be packing A LOT. I will have to weigh our bags... usually they are about 40+lbs. So those 4 bags are like 160lbs or more. Hmmm... I think I am thinking that new option might be better... hmmm but then again.. not changing planes would be nice too... (I think I need a screaming around the room, pullin my hair out smiley) By the time I deliberate over this though... I am sure the fares will change again. :confused3

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Guess what?

Ok, so I will just think about this more seriously and wait for them to change the fare... again!!!!

:rotfl::rotfl: seriously??? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Oh Ann, I feel for you! I am having flight drama here as well. Can't wait till it is settled but I don't think I will be settled until end of summer.

As for flight options. i would go for 2. Help with luggage is nice. later flight time is nice, though arriving later is a little bit too bad. How long is the layover? We had layovers in Minneapolis for 3 hours one way and 5 the other. The 3 hour was nice, time to eat and settle again before flying. BUT my kids are not great flyers so I always need extra help.

It is weird... if I enter in for one passenger I get the lower fare. Two and it bumps up the fare by $130 pp.

Talking with Kira she said that she and Josh could park and help me in with all the bags. (so problem would be solved) Course, then I told her I had to be at the airport at 4am..:rotfl: ding dong asked "why so early?" hello!!! did we not just do this a month ago, when she was flying out? :rotfl2: She should know that often it is an early morning flight out...which means 6am which means arriving to the airport around 4am.

I will continue to play with the days and times until I have something. It would be nice to count the 9th as the first day of vacation for all of us... and... getting there before the guys mean I could make sure we were not placed somewhere I wouldn't want. I would love to be in the same building with the same view as the last trip. I mean... what is wrong with this...

Ann, I have no idea what travelling with a 6 year old is like, but we usually travel with 4 suitcases and 2 carry ons (and a bag of some sort) and even from the car to the check in counter it is a struggle. So IF you can change your flights I would go with it ...... more hands, less struggle!

Yeah, I would go with option two, as well. Might as well make it as easy on yourself as possible, right? :goodvibes

LOVE this view! What building were you in? I haven't put in a request for building yet, but I like this view. I too could handle looking out at that every day :goodvibes
