Covid, masks, limited capacity, limited events.....but just received a code for package booking through December 24.
Thinking about booking December 23-30. Has anyone been there during Xmas? Going to reserve MK for December 25 if we go.
I realize all the unknowns involved and that this year will be completely different than all other’s experience in past years, but just looking for opinions and tips and any advice before I book.

I think it would depend on what the PIN code discount was in this situation. We do not do character meet and greats or parades typically. However the limited park hours and no park hopping give me pause. I have reservations, but have not fully convinced my family it is "worth it".

We have not been yet, but we do plan on an early December trip to WDW. THEN agaIn, a NYE trip. So, we are planning to get a Disney FIX this year.

We have a trip booked for December, but we will leave on December 25. We have gone Christmas week before and it was just way too crowded for us. Even with lowered capacity, I would guess Christmas week will still be the most crowded week of the year and we just have no interest in that, particularly this year. We are currently planning on going December 18 - 25 with a lot of non-park time planned.

I would definitely go! The only thing I would miss is the Christmas parade. My kids want to be home at Christmas so we are going right after but I would do it if they would lol!

Probably not, and actually most certainly NO
The Pin would have to be 50%/ > off to make me think about it!

Yep, I just booked a couple days ago. I had been wanting to go but was not willing to pay full price. Once the PIN code came out it pushed me over the edge. Our family is really looking to having a nice vacation. I know a lot of things will be missing, such as the candlelight processional and parades and fireworks but they are also slowly adding things here and there such as recently Gaston's and Teppan Edo. I think I even heard some rumblings about Casey's ... so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I also am hoping they will at least extend a bit on evening hours, that might be needed if it gets pretty crowded. Also, this labor day didn't turn out as bad as some had imagined, at least from what I have read.
Here is a good article by Tom Bricker that might give you additional insight.

If I wanted to see the parks at Christmas with the lowest holiday crowds ever? Absolutely. I expect it will be more crowded than the average weekday has been, but I don't see a universe in which they can lift crowd restrictions completely by December. At best they may increase limits somewhat but it would still be far below the usual holiday week crowd. Assuming you're comfortable visiting during Covid (which I assume you are based on the question). I wouldn't book it then because we aren't Christmas people, but otherwise? Absolutely.

Have you looked at the actual pin $ rates? I believe the discount only applies on nights through 12/24, so any dates after that would not be discounted. FYI!

Oops, just saw your deal was package booking, so the specifics may be different than on the room-only pin circulating right now. Good luck!

Absolutely! We just got back a week ago and can't wait to go back. We won't be there Christmas week, but we will be there 12/10-12/14.

I didn't get a PIN code, but I did get a 40% AP discount and that was enough to convince me to go. Looking forward to it.

It boils down to if the fireworks, parades and character meet and greets still aren't happening would you be bothered and would you be able to cancel or move your booking penalty free?

I think my main concern was that it was still going to be crowded (I know all the limitations capacity wise) but still “crowded “ with limited experience, and was worried lines for rides would still be long.
Anyone just get back? (Again, I know it’s different than Xmas week will be), but wondering how it was.

Yes!! We took advantage of an amazing Boulder Ridge deal in August. We enjoyed a resort only trip. Resort hopping, Disney Springs, dinning, shopping, pool days all day everyday, poolside activities, tye dye, private fishing trip given to us by an amazing CM. We took pictures in front of Magic Kingdom, rode the Skyliner. I have to admit we did not visit one park because I am not spending the money until the fireworks and Dapper Dan's return and this was my favorite Disneyworld trip ever. We needed the get-away and it was still very relaxing and magical. I am not fearful of the current goings on because I read the facts and the numbers available. Things with travel and Disney have never been more organized, clean and amazing! Nobody does it better than Disney!

Just read that WDW Christmas decorations will be up from November 6 to December 30, 2020. Castle will not have lights and there will be no gingerbread displays at any of the resorts just to name a couple. They are supposed to have pop-up Christmas floats etc. though so that's a plus.
