Hi everyone not posted for a while. Im hopefully taking my daughter this Christmas just wondering when does the Christmas season with all the triimings tree etc get put up?
Many thanks

Hi we was there on the first day of Christmas season last year (7th-12th) November everything was up and running, the Christmas tree, decorations snow falling on mainstreet, characters dressed in their Christmas outfits and of course Santa. It was so magical and christmassy. we forgot to check French public holidays before we booked so if you can try and avoid the 11th November armistice it was so busy.

Thanks for that,we have done Christmas once before in 2008 where we stayed at the Cheyanne....cant remember the dates but it was soooooooooooooooo cold brrrr. Promised my daughter who is 16 this year we would go back.......i personally want it to be different this time.
I have a son who is 5 who is autistic whoom im afraid dictates what and where we go. But after looking at the You Tube video of the park from the air i want to experience the park lit up at night. I have never seen the Fantillusion parade nor the castle so think the next visit we must try this .

You have to see this...its so wonderful and magic. :worship:

We saw this the first time on our trip in January and it was so wonderful. :woohoo:

The lighting of the castle....the christmas tree lightning ceremony....magic :scared1:

Go for it !!!!

:wizard:

It's definetly worth doing. the tree and castle lighting ceremony are lovely. the castle lit up is amazing and stunning. i have seen the fantalusion parade back in 2006 but last year when we went to watch it it started to rain so it was cancelled but it is amazing too.
it is very cold this time of year unfortunetly it rained most of the week we were there but you seem to carry on as if it wasn't as your enjoying yourself so much. Wrap up warm and have the waterproofs ready and all will be fine:)

We are thinking about booking for Christmas as have never been for that season before. Looking forward to planning it. :goodvibes

I am also planning for a trip to DLP over Christmas! My mum told me today she was wanting to plan a trip for the family from Christmas Eve to probably the day after boxing day. So now im doing a but of research! Its hard this early in the year though when the information isnt released yet. But i shall keep an eye out on this board/thread for any advice and tips!!

Can't recommend Disney at Christmas enough, it's just a dream. Yes, it's freezing but when the snow starts falling on Main Street, you'll know its worth it.

P.S. Not kidding about the freezing bit. There's no such thing as too many layers! ;)

I can believe that Paul! We went once in November and the place was ICED over...literally. The water around BTM was just one piece of ice and the waterfall from the castle was just pure icicles. Was an amazing sight.

Just reading the post and remembering the cold when we went at Christmas last time! I have promised as i said to take our family back again but im tied to the term times as my daughter will be in college. Id go back to the DLH just for the shere convienience of it being at the park gates but with the 20% off at the moment its over 2k :scared1: So possibly might go back to the Cheyanne as it accomadates us all (4) 2 childrenand 2 adults.
But yes it is a magical season and main street well is out of this world its just a case of can we handle the cold ???

I've tried looking at the costs of a Xmas visit but the website has dates not available. Any idea when they'll be available for booking?

Steve

The travel agent we tried told us it would be the end of the month of beginning of April the Autumn/Winter prices will be out :)
