Hello,

I am new to this, and tried going through various threads to find my answer but was unsuccessful!

I am planning a trip for Christmas/New Years 2011-2012 (Hopfully Dec 28-Jan3) using my DVC Points. I know that for my home resort I have to call 11 months in advance, however, I am worried that there will not be any availability. *I am not picky about what type of room or what view*

Also do all rooms come equipped with a kitchenette?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

You should have little problem finding a room at your home resort at the 11 month window. All rooms have a kitchenette, some have a full kitchen. Good luck, and enjoy Christmas!

Oh that's great to hear! I am surprising my boyfriend with this trip and am already so excited about it - so having it not work out in the end would be very disappointing!

Book at your home resort at 11 months out. If you can change at 7 months out to a different resort, call MS exactly at 9AM EST to make the change.

All DVC studio accommodations have the kitchenette. One bedroom and larger have the full kitchen.

Enjoy your stay next year and Welcome Home! :thumbsup2

We are staying this Chrismtas 2010 and had no problem getting into our home resort. I didn't even call on the exact "window opening" day but still had my selection of what catergory of villa view I wanted - BWV's standard, boardwalk, or pool.

This year will be the second that we're spending NYE at WDW. Both times I was able to book BWV, Standard view, last time it was a studio, this time a 2 bedroom at 11 months out. I only wish we could stay longer. We leave on Jan. 1st!

We did not close on our OKW contract until April of this year. I had no trouble booking the week of Christmas in a 1BR HH at OKW. I then switched to a 2BR near the 7 month mark - I can't remember if it was just before or just after the 7 month window opened. I could not get HH, but that was ok because I had decided I wanted to request a different area anyway. OKW is large and the demand does not seem as high as at some of the resorts, but I think you should be able to get your home resort at 11 months.

I may be totally wrong on this but I think the economy is playing a big roll in the availability at all resorts.

Thanks so much everyone for your replies! You've put my nerves to rest and I am very excited to hear that it should not be a problem as well as what the room is like!
