Christmas 2010

Well done to the OP on getting your ADR for Liberty Tree Tavern!

It sounds like I'm going to be the odd one out as we will be in EPCOT on CHristmas Day. I get a little claustrophobic so figured MK at capacity wouldn't be a good place for me - at least at EPCOT the crowds get spread out a little more!

Hvae just packed for our trip that leaves on Sunday and am still a little amazed that when we come back we'll be able to say, "Oh well, it's only 4 months til we go back!"

We've not been xmas itself but have been twice early December.

Disney is lovely decorated for xmas - don't miss xmas parade, osbourne lights and seeing all the hotels decorated.

For things offsite we enjoyed ICE at gaylord palms and celebration is beautifully decorated and 'snows' every night.

Ive done 2 Christmases there but several yrs ago.
The first yr we spent Christmas Day at Typhoon Lagoon - the closest I'll get to Christmas on the beach - grabbed a snack for lunch and then ate a traditional christmas meal in the hotel restaurant in the evening - we were staying off site.
The 2nd yr we were going to do the same but it was cooler so we went to Epcot instead - it wasnt too busy at all. We didnt have anywhere booked for lunch but just enquired at the Mexican restaurant (sorry cant remember its name) and got a table for an hour later. We then had cakes from the patisserie in France later in the day. I like to tell people I once had Christmas lunch in Mexico and tea in France

Have a great time - Id love to go for Christmas again

We will be there for Christmas too this year for the first time! Been in the Christmas season but never actually FOR Christmas itself so we are super excited.
We are going to Universal for the day (Express passes) and Victoria and Alberts in the evening.
So excited!

No you're not odd one out - I'm going to AK Xmas Day as Tour Guide Mike recommends! I would like to go to MK, but our Christmas trip is only 8 days long, and I just can't spend a whole day where I will hardly get to ride anything! Going to MK Christmas Eve instead . . . its always been my fave day of the year so can't wait!!!

We will be there from 22nd December for 2 weeks and will be in Epcot. First time we will have been for Christmas/New Year. Blaming Mrs. F as she has a "big" birthday on New Years Day. Got a few ADR sorted & a Birthday surprise for Mrs.F following advice from this site. (THANKS!!!)

We will be eating at the Chinese in Epcot on Christmas Day as that was the kids choice :thumbsup2

Mrs. F worried about the weather? anyone been who can advise if it is take shorts, jeans, jumpers or are we best treating it like a holiday in the UK and take everything?

Can't wait!!!!!!!

Exactly what we did for our trip Nov/Dec last year. I was rarely in skirts, almost always jeans.

Someone must have a December TR so we can look at their outfits... I'm packing uggs and ear muffs!!!

Looking back on historic temps, end of December can range from a high of 58F :scared1:to a high of 80 ish and look out for those lows under freezing over night.
I'm with you on the Uggs LOL.
