Jim, believe me, I have thought about that. I had toy poodles growing up, and my mom flew several times with one in her purse.
What about a seeing eye dachshund? I could get one of the larger, handicapped rooms - handicapped guest who travels with personal physician --think they would buy that?
Julie - yes, she is a black and tan long hair with dapple coloring.
We finally broke down and got another one. Our first one, Bumper, was a female, and we got her from the pound three years before Megan (DD-17) was born. She had to be put to sleep 2 years ago this January, and it was a very sad day. She was 18.
I guess I will check the kennel that most of my neighbors use. I had gotten used to taking Bumper to the vet because her last year it seemed we were gone a lot, and I felt much better with her there. I am just concerned that the barking of the other dogs will scare her, but I guess she will get over that.
I just don't want to come home to another psycho animal - we will tell you the stories of Fred and our move from Birmingham to Hickory on the ship!
