Well day 2 was nice, calm and relaxing it was time to kick it up a notch.
Early rise again. No matter how late we went to be we all got up early in the morning. We awoke to the warm reception of Nassau off in the distance. By the time we finished the breakfast buffet in Parrot Cay the ship had docked and was ready for off loading.
Family and I had scheduled the meet and greet with the dolphins since DD(7) was to young to do the swim. Exiting the ship was a snap. A quick swipe of the KKTW card and off we went. As a group everyone on the excursion walked through the new port of Nassau(we were there three years earlier and the waterfront was completely different) to a water taxi. The ride was normal, about 45 mins, and we were at Paradise Cove. The excursion we had was an interaction with the dolphins and lunch.
The encounter was a big hit with the kids, they got to hug, pet dance and play with a dolphin standing in about 3 feet of water. There was only on problem the water. Boy was it cold! LOL
Lunch was a big disappointment as the food wasn't very good and the eating area was a mess. You knew you weren't on the Wonder. At about 2 pm we caught the first taxi back to the ship and the kids again insisted on going to the clubs. Since they were safe DW and I snuck back onto shore to go shopping.
Ladies the Jewelery Mart is a good bargin. At least my wife thinks so. She got a very nice Omega necklace and of course I got my one box of Cuban Cigars. If we do the cruise again I think we will skip any excursions and wing it. We got back onboard about 5:30 PM.
Its that time again: DINNER. This evening wqe got to eat at Triton's. This resturant to me is the fanciest of the rotation. We saw a few characters wander through and here we had some pictures taken with the family together. Mark and Jorge were again on the ball and again the food was awesome. The roast duck was mouth watering. DS was so hungry he had two appetizers.
After dinner we all changed and the kids dashed back to the clubs. DW and I wandered from club to club but just couldn't settle on one. The family club on deck 5 wasn't to exciting and Careoke was well there. We tried to sit through the Hercules show but that wasn't to exciting. We were just waiting for the
deck party at 10 pm and the midnight buffet.
When the time came we gathered the kids back up and headed for deck 9. Let me tell you Disney can ROCK. This deck party was awesome. Not only did we wake up the other ships docked we woke up some neighboring islands. The kids danced their hearts out and the band and dancers were aces.
Our assistant waiter Jorge was working in the buffet so we met him to say hi. The whole buffet was very good and the beef brisket was to die for. I don't know where I got the room to stuff more food but I managed.
The neatest thing was during the party we casted off and headed out to sea. I think I found out the next day that the party went on till about 2 am but I honestly didn't know. We all finally ran out of gas sometime so we headed to our cabin although the kids wanted to get even more club time.
When we walked in the cabin we were greeted by towel animal #3 a monkey hanging from a hanger by the pull down bed. Martel really did good. The monkey was even wearing DW sunglasses.
The final act for the evening was for me to get two Margaritas and enjoy my Cohiba on my veranda. By the time I finished everyone was snoring(loudly) so I joined them.
Getting on and off the ship was very easy I still can't get over it. And since we had been to Nassau before we knew where we wanted to go in town. Oh yeah on day 3 we ate like three kings!
Tomorrow Castaway Cay
