I guess you won't mind then if the rest of us speak out against fundamentalist christians? QUOTE]

Never stopped you before! :confused3 I find it odd how you seem to think christian people are just brainwashed idiots and then you hold them to a higher standard than others. Which is it?

i agree......there is a crazy double standard to libralism that is sick....they can teach all kinds of garbage at these colleges, but as soon as someone has a different opinion they are discredited...such a joke.......

But this answere is an awser to evrything and nothing at the same time. On political thread , you spend a lot of time defending this american administration , with a lot of analisys of the situation , and why your country is doing war etc , but on some other things , the only analysis we get from you is "with God , everything is possible" or "Is will is written in his word". being religious and a beliver should not keep us from using basic psychology , physics or science. When we dont understand something , or need comforting , I agree that a higher power can be usefull , but it should not be an excuse for not "digging" into something. it is very easy to say that God does not want to have gay people when we dont even try to understand what it means to be gay. It is very comforting ( and easy) to anwser to every post about gay people: His will is written in his word. Life ,unfortunatly, is way more complicated than those type of premade sentence that get us out of every situation.

And , I will just add that this is not an Attack on christianity I am making. On TV yesterday was a Jesuit monk who is an astrophysician. While I am not a beliver , as I said before , I think that science and religion are not ennemies , as some christians would believe. Both seel answers on different and sometime the same questions.

What's to understand about the gay issue re God? He's been very clear. As with any sin, He wants us to repent. He loves us unconditionally, but made rules by His Word, for OUR benefit (like any good parent).

I have nothing against science, but it is second to God.

Joe, what ARE you talking about? I mean, I get that your beliefs are that being gay is a sin...I do NOT agree, but I'm not trying to fight you on it. And PLEASE don't give me bible quotes! Ya know I don't read it! :)

Science comes second to God? Science IS God. They are one in the same! It is the unraveling, the explanation of all His wonders. Studying Science can only cement beliefs...No way all that stuff works together and there isn't something responsible for it! Can't be some kind of cosmic fluke.

When I was in school, a friend of mine - who wasn't really religious at all - said (as we were trying to punch through the layers that coat a brain - VERY difficult! - so we could check out the brain)..."You know, there HAS to be a God." I said, yeah. And she was like, "No, I mean it. All of this stuff..." I was like, "You're preacing to the choir."

I don't see how you can seperate God and Science.

I understand what you are saying. When you put science that way, I agree.

I did not mean to imply that they are independent. I'm saying man's thoughts are second to God's.
