Bryan's Hymn (When I Turn to You)/Bryan Duncan

When I turn to You
You are always waiting
With a heart that understands before I speak
And I learn from You
All that really matters
Though a million years go by You'll still love me

I no longer look for a place to hide
Cause I know where I belong
When I turn to You
When I turn to You
When I turn to You, dear Lord
I know that I love You

When I turn to You
You are watching over me
Through eyes that look beyond the faults I see
And I learn from You
You are always merciful
Though I remember all that You've forgiven me

I no longer look for a place to hide
Cause I know where I belong
When I turn to You
When I turn to You
When I turn to You, dear Lord
I know that I love You

Those are beautiful songs, Jill. Thank you :)

Jesus I am thirsty
Won't You come and fill me
Earthly things have left me dry
Only You can satisfy
All I want is more of You

All I want is more of You
All I want is more of You
Nothing I desire Lord but more of You
All I want is more of You
All I want is more of You
Nothing I desire Lord but more of You

I want more of You Jesus
More of You</Font>

Such beautiful songs guys. Thank you so much.

It was a beautiful service---He and his family were/are so full of love for the Lord--I have no doubts where he is now.

It was also so hard. The service was an hour and a half and I sang "Amazing Grace" during the recessional while the casket and everyone slowly filed out. I looked at the walls, the lights, the ceiling, never dared look at a face, I closed my eyes and had to forget about the emotion of the song and why I was singing it.

But like I said, I was honored to do it.

God be with us all!

CRB, that was just so sweet of you to sing at his funeral. I can only imagine how hard that was to do. I know the family appreciated it! :)

I must tell Jesus all of my trials
I cannot bear these burdens alone
In my distress He kindly will help me
He ever loves and cares for His own

Tempted and tried, I need a great Savior
One Who can help my burdens to bear
I must tell Jesus, I must tell Jesus
He all my cares and sorrows will share

I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus
I cannot bear my burdens alone
I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus
Jesus can help me, Jesus alone

I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus
I cannot bear my burdens alone
I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus
Jesus can help me, Jesus alone</Font>

Hungry I come to You
For I know You satisfy
I am empty but I know
Your love does not run dry
So I wait for You
So I wait for You

I'm falling on my knees
Offering all my needs
Jesus You're all
This heart is living for

Broken I run to You
For Your arms are open wide
I am weary but I know Your touch
Restores my life
So I wait for You
So I wait for You

I'm falling on my knees
Offering all my needs
Jesus You're all
This heart is living for

Jesus You're all this heart is living for</Font>

That was beautiful, CRB. {{Hugs}}. So very nice, such nice thoughts and memories of your friend.

Thankful

I ran across an old box of letters
While I was baggin up some clothes for Goodwill
You know I had to laugh that the same old struggles
That plagued me then are plaguing me still
I know the road is long from ground to glory
But a boy can hope he's getting some place
But you see, I'm running from the very clothes I'm wearing
And dressed like this I'm fit for the chase

No, there is none righteous
Not one who understands
There is none who seek God
No not one, no not one

I am thankful that I'm incapable
Of doing any good on my own
'Cause we're all stillborn and dead in our transgressions
We're shackled up to the sin we hold so dear
So what part can I play in the work of redemption
I can't refuse, I cannot add a thing

'Cause I am just like Lazarus and I can hear Your voice
I stand and rub my eyes and walk to You
Because I have no choice

I am thankful that I'm incapable
Of doing any good on my own
I'm so thankful that I'm incapable
Of doing any good on my own

It's by grace I have been saved
Through faith it's not my own
It is the gift of God and not by works
Lest anyone should boast

--Caedmon's Call

Dan that is an excellent song! Caedman's Call is a great group! :)

Oh it is Jesus
Oh it is Jesus
It's Jesus in my soul
For I have touched the hem of His garment
And His blood has made me whole!

:)

I finally found the words to

THE GREAT SOUTHLAND......

1.
This is our nation, This is our land,
This is our future, This is our hope,
A land of reaping, A land of harvest,
This is our land, This is our home.

CHORUS

This is the Great South-land of the Holy Spirit,
A land of red dust plains and summer rains;
To this sunburnt land we will see a flood,
And to this Great South-land His Spirit comes.

2.
This is our nation, This is our land,
This land of plenty, This land of hope,
This richest harvest is in her peoples,
We see re-vival, His Spirit comes.

3.
This is our nation, This is our land
This lucky country, Of dreams gone dry.
And to these people we see a harvest,
And to this land His Spirit comes

Hey Nutsy! :) Thanks for singing!!

Light of the world
You stepped out into darkness
Opened my eyes let me see
Beauty that made this heart adore You
Hope of a life spent with You

So here I am to worship
Here I am to bow down
Here I am to say that You're my God
You're altogether lovely
Altogether worthy
Altogether wonderful to me

King of all days
O so highly exalted
Glorious in heaven above
Humbly You came to the earth You created
And all for love's sake became poor

So here I am to worship
Here I am to bow down
Here I am to say that You're my God
You're altogether lovely
Altogether worthy
Altogether wonderful to me

I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross
I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross

I will worship
I will bow down
I will say that You're my God
You're altogether lovely
Altogether worthy
Altogether wonderful, so wonderful to me!</Font>

Creator of the heavens
Sustainer of the earth
Source of all my love
Foundation of my worth
Author of all beauty
Fountain of all grace
You're the fountain of all grace
And I won't leave to the rocks
What these lips were made to say

Hallelujah, praise the King
Hallelujah, praise the King
Hallelujah, praise the King

All creation stands and sings,
"Praise the King"

The mountain will cry to the valley
The ocean will roar to the stream
From the bird to the beast
From the flower to the tree
All creation stands and sings
"Praise the King"

Hallelujah, praise the King
Hallelujah, praise the King
Hallelujah, praise the King

<Font color="deeppink">
Praise Him in the morning
For tall and lofty trees
And praise Him in the evening
For children on their knees
Oh and praise Him in the noon day
For gentle birds that sing
Oh praise Him all ye people
Praise the King

And praise Him for a peaceful porch
And rocking chairs that sway
Praise Him for the rolling hills
Where children laugh and play
Oh and praise Him for the wandering soul
That never lost their way
Oh praise Him all ye people
Praise the King

Praise the King
Praise the King
Let it ring
Praise the King

Praise the King
Praise the King
Let it ring
Praise the King

And praise Him for the blood that fell
And bloomed a rose that day
And praise Him that He suffered through
The guilt, the grief, the shame
Oh and praise Him that His tender love
Will still forgive today
Oh praise Him all ye people praise the King

Praise the King
Praise the King
Let it ring
Praise the King

Praise the King
Praise the King
Let it ring
Praise the King

We sang this song in church this morning, it was the first time that I've ever heard it but I'm in love with it now!

In moments like these
I sing out a song
I sing out a love song to Jesus
In moments like these
I lift up my hands
I lift up my hands to You Lord

Singing I love You Lord
Singing I love You Lord
Singing I love You Lord
I love You</Font>

We bow our hearts, we bend our knees
Oh Spirit come make us humble
We turn our eyes, from evil things
Oh Lord we cast down our idols

Give us clean hands
Give us pure hearts
Let us not lift our souls to another
Give us clean hands
Give us pure hearts
Let us not lift our souls to another

Oh God let us be a generation that seeks
Who seeks Your face
Oh God of Jacob
Oh God let us be a generation that seeks
Who seeks Your face
Oh God of Jacob

Oh my Lord, You are so kind
Oh my Lord, You are so kind
Morning to morning, day to day
You reveal Your righteous ways

It's Your kindness that leads to repentance
It's Your blood that brings forgiveness
It's Your mercy that leads us here
To Your throne of grace

In Your kindness I find repentance
In Your blood I find forgiveness
In Your mercy I find myself
At Your throne of grace
Your throne of grace

Lord, I come to You,
let my heart be changed, renewed,
flowing from the grace I've found in You;
And Lord I've come to know
the weakness I see in me
will be stripped away
by the power of Your love.

Hold me close,
let Your love surround me
bring me near,
draw me to Your side;
And as I wait
I'll rise up like the eagle,
and I will soar with You,
Your Spirit leads me on,
by the power of Your love.

Lord, unveil my eyes,
let me see You face to face,
the knowledge of Your love,
as You live in me;
And Lord, renew my mind,
as Your will unfolds in my life,
in living every day
by the power of Your love.

Hold me close,
let Your love surround me
bring me near,
draw me to Your side;
And as I wait
I'll rise up like the eagle,
and I will soar with You,
Your Spirit leads me on,
by the power of Your love.
