According to NBC news (The Today Show) actor Chris Penn (Reservoir Dogs) was found dead in his apt/condo. No sign of foul play as of yet and cause of death not yet determined. Very sad. I liked him.

Wow. It will be interesting to hear what happened. It is very sad but the first thing that comes to my mind would be a drug overdose. :sad2:

That is really sad, I always like Chris Penn. My thoughts go out to his loved ones, I am sure they are in shock.

Sorry to hear that, just watched True Romance this weekend and enjoyed his work

He didn't look very healthy as of late. Looked really bad in Starsky and Hutch.

Too bad, he was really good, even in very small parts like S&H.

OMG!! What a tragedy! I feel bad for his family. :sad1:

I loved him in Footloose. He was so awesome in that.

I thought the same thing, and wondered about heart issues (due to his weight maybe)

I was thinking the same thing. He must be in his 40s (early) right. Not too early for a cardiac problem.

That is so sad. He was such a great actor and will be missed.

Very sad. To me, he will always be that dancing cowboy in Footloose!

Footloose was awesome but I doubt many people saw what I think was his best work... a cancelled TV show called "The Brotherhood of Poland, New Hampshire".

I watched that short-lived show. He was very good in that, as was Randy Quaid.

OT, but it's interesting that Penn and Quaid ended up on a show together, as I always sort of lump them together since they both have a more famous brother. Or...maybe it's not interesting and I'm just weird.

I was so sad when they canceled Brotherhood of Poland.. it was very, very good.. quirky...

I read last night that Chris Penn died.. he was a talented man, overshadowed by his brother. In fact, in our paper the first line of the article was

Chris Penn, brother of actor Sean Penn, was found dead in his apt....

I found this sad as Chris Penn had a solid career of his own.

Chris Penn could make me laugh .. he is the best part about Footloose...my kids agree...
